dont see any reason why Rashford/Kane/Alli dont start every game as the attacking 3 when fit

we are talking about a manager who is still sticking with Joe Hart. Go figure.

well done Rashford. Always good to see a young player bounce back from an early error like that.

start with Hart and also played 2 holding midfielders against Malta...

he may be young but he's not exactly innovative

great results today for Scotland, have them at home and away at Slovenia left

Slovakia 15
Scotland 14
Slovenia 14

if they can beat Slovakia, and England don't lose at home to Slovenia, Scotland could go in to the last game just needing a draw to finish in the playoff

Northern Ireland locked up a playoff spot as well by beating the Czech Republic

Those 2 will very likely be joined by Ireland or Wales in the playoff, one of them is very likely to finish 2nd, potentially a tasty playoff matchup

Alli is a great player, but he really needs to work on his antics. "Stupid" would be an understatement. Surely a ban coming here.

idiotic, camera's always on he has to know

He's already suspended the first 3 CL games

he'll get at least 1 or 2 for this, thankfully the team's already qualified, he has to realize it's not just on the field stuff i.e tackles. He does this in a world cup and misses an elimination game it hurts just as much

England have lined up Brazil, Germany in November and Italy and Holland in Marchas World Cup preparation friendlies. Plus whatever preparations needed in May/June.

In Asia, South Korea has qualified for it's 9th consecutive World Cup drawing Uzbekistan in Tashkent getting 2nd in the group.

Syria get an injury time equalizer in Tehran to grab the 3rd place playoff spot.

In the other Group Saudi Arabia host Japan in about 30 minutes, a win for them gets them 2nd ahead of Australia, otherwise they are 3rd.

Saudi Arabia won so they're in.
Iran, Japan, South Korea and Saudi Arabia in from Asia.
Syria and Australia will play off to face 4th CONCACAF which might be the USA!

USA 8 points at Honduras 8 points will start in about 40 minutes. Of course Honduras is playing in the middle of the day

Croatia has lost 2 of their last 3 in World Cup qualifying which means there is an interesting end to Group I qualifying.

2 games left and:

Croatia: 16 points
Iceland : 16 points
Turkey: 14 Points
Ukraine: 14 points

They sit way ahead in goal differential but are going to need to make sure they get results to make it through.

Italy had another uninspiring effort today, but were able to slip past Israel 1-0. Personally not a fan of their current coach, and think they could potentially have some trouble in the playoff depending on who they draw.

Chile lost in Bolivia 1-0, looks like they might be on their way out.

USA down 1-0 to Honduras after 30 minutes.

If the Argentina-Venezuela result holds up and Paraguay can somehow beat Uruguay, there's going to be six teams within two points of each other, and only four of them can advance. Would set up probably the most exciting finish to a qualification ever.

The win by Peru in Quito was huge. Still a long shot with a trip to Argentina and home to Colombia remaining. Colombia might be qualified already though...

Peru haven't qualified since 1982. How about a New Zealand vs Peru playoff?
I think Chile are done, they still have to go to Brazil.
