He can do blindside no look passes to new opponents. Actually, your comment 100 % stands.

I still think he should go though…and every other player that’s asked (except injured players).

I think Huberdeau should go. Maybe something clicks for him there - different coach, different team mates, different usage - whatever. Mangiapane should go as well, as he had a lot of success last time.

Don't care if he goes or not. Any thought that something clicks with him is misguided. What we see is what we're going to get. He's a 10.5 mil waste.

See how he plays with Celebrini.

Get a jump on the season.

Huberdeau and Mangiapane should go to help their trade value

Although, in Huby case it probably makes no difference

No, He has 10.5 million reasons to live up to his end of the contract. He's not doing it and needs to go to the Worlds to improve his game.

Promotion and Relegation not being part of North American sports is the only thing that kept the Oilers from getting to the ECHL during the "decade of darkness".

I was taking a look at div 4. if hockey was run like World Cups, we could get drawn against Indonesia, Malaysia, Kuwait, or Mongolia.

I agree. You want guys on your team that love hockey so much that they willingly embrace these opportunities.

I have no doubt that Huberdeau would rack up points in a bunch of low stakes, non contact games against inferior competition. But honestly that is probably counter productive to him learning to play the kind of hockey the Flames need from him.

I'd rather him focus on getting into the best shape possible coming into next year. That would actually help a little bit.

Thank you for starting this thread. My interest in this tourney inflects big time when the Flames miss the playoffs and moves even higher even if just 1 Flame is on Team Canada.
