Think of the knowladge and wisdon Jagr could pass on to Monahan and Gaudreau.
Make it happen.

^I'd be more than fine with Playboy Monahan.
Also, who isn't going to buy a Flames Jagr jersey?

1x3,7 is A-OK with me. If that was a multi-year deal I might have some negative things to say, but the experience the guy provides is enough for me, let alone what he'd add on the ice. Plus I'm selfish and want to own a Jagr jersey

I don't care about the cap hit. It's a one year deal and quite frankly, it's not our business to run. If the brass deems Jagr fit to fill the role, then so be it.

I hope to wake up to either a signing or to this being shut down by someone near the team. The worst thing is hanging on iffy rumours for prolonged periods of time.

Or Tkachuk/Bennett. I know most would want Gaudreau-Monahan-Jagr but I'd be tempted to try Tkachuk-Bennett-Jagr or Tkachuk-Jankowski-Jagr. Tkachuk and Jagr would dominate the cycle game. There's a couple places Jagr could fit nicely.

This is great news for Flames fans.
Also it's kinda funny you can bet on where a player will sign haha

Yet somehow perennial ~60 game, ~35 pt Versteeg is a better fit? Or Ferland who scored 15 goals for the first time in his career, is somehow undeniably better and guaranteed to play on the top line all season?
Jagr is better than either of them though it's a matter of how long that is still the case. With the added talent, that's still another skilled winger available for the likes of Bennett to play with.

The 1st line RW spot is for Ferland to lose... If he doesn't do well, Jagr steps in right away. For me, I see Jagr being with Backlund and Frolik for the first bit because we need to see how Ferland does with Gaudreau and Monahan.

It is only possible because of Jagr himself. He is like a god in here. If he really signs with us, it will be all Calgary in sports news all the season :-)

It'd be cool to have another future Hall of Famer wearing the Flaming C.

I'm a big Ferland fan too, but nobody is trading Ferland for Jagr. Ferland can still take the top line, he just has to beat out a guy in his mid-forties to do it. As a fan, if the Flames sign Jagr I give up nothing and just get a chance to cheer for Jagr.

I think Ferland could learn a lot from Jagr, in terms of the way he dominates around the puck, and cycles. Ferland might be a little smaller, but he has the physical ability to play that style of game.
He's never going to put up points like Jagr though. I don't mind him on the 1st line now, but that's only because there's no one better. In the future, he's an ideal 3rd line winger.

I'm more interested in what Jagr could do for Monahans game. Lets be honest tho, not a player on our roster wouldn't learn a thing from Jagr.
