good shot. But pathetic from Rupp and the others in the wall. Every kid knows that you're supposed to jump.

But come on, the Kramaric penalty was garbage.

"I'm going to pass the ball through your legs to nobody and then fall down!"

Justice was done on no goal on that one.

Conservative website Breitbart has apologised for mistaking retired Germany international Lukas Podolski for a travelling migrant in a recent story.

Podolski, who now plays for J-League side Vissel Kobe, was pictured riding a Jet-Ski in an article entitled "Spanish Police Crack Gang Moving Migrants on Jet-Skis."

However, the photo of the former Arsenal forward was taken during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, near Germany's Campo Bahia training base.

"This image appeared as an illustration of a person on a jet ski. Breitbart London wishes to apologise to Mr. Podolski.

"There is no evidence Mr. Podolski is either a migrant gang member, nor being human trafficked.

It was mighty conscientious of those human traffickers to supply him with a Life Jacket.

Barcelona are suing Neymar for a breach of contract after the Brazilian left the club for Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month.

Having already said they would refuse to pay €26 million in bonus payments Neymar was due to receive this summer, Barcelona are now attempting to claim back money already paid to the player.

"In the lawsuit, the club demands the player return the already paid sum for his contract renewal because he has not fulfilled his contract; €8.5m in damages; and an additional 10 percent in interest. The club also requests that PSG subsidise the amounts in the event that the player cannot take responsibility."

"I do have something to say: that I am disappointed with them [the Barca directors]," Neymar said after PSG's win over Toulouse on Sunday.

"I spent four years there and was very happy. I began happy, spent four years happy and left happy. But not with them. For me, they shouldn't be in charge of Barca. Barca deserve much better, and everyone knows this.

"To see my former teammates unhappy makes me sad also, because I have many friends [there]. I hope that things get better for Barca. That they return to the team they were and become one that can compete with the others."
http://www.espnfc.us/story/3185982/b...plus-85m-euros

I'm no Barca fan, but what more exactly does Neymar think the Board needed to do for the players?

Umm isn't the buyout clause being met fulfilling the contract.

That is why you have a buyout clause - it's literally a term of fufilling the contract.

Barca fans have been really unhappy with the board for a long time. Their transfer business has been pretty bad for a while and some think that Bartomeu is also having other interests in mind. At the very least, the Paulinho deal looks pretty shady.

Quote:
There has been a lot of confusion regarding Barça’s interest in Guangzhou’s Paulinho. How is a Premier League flop moving to Barcelona for an eye-watering €40 million? Has Barcelona lost its minds? Are we really going from Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta to Paulinho?

There has been online speculation that there is more to Paulinho’s transfer than just sporting reasons. Josep Maria Bartomeu Floreta is a partner and CEO at ADELTE Group which is into designing, manufacturing, supplying and maintaining airports, seaports and road transport operations.

Apparently, ADELTE Group is expanding into China and bidding on projects like the Ocean Flower Island being built by the Evergrande group which also happens to be the parent organisation of—you guessed it—Guangzhou. There are rumours that Florentino Perez’s ACS Group was also bidding for the project, but with the Paulinho transfer concluded, could be handed over to ADELTE Group and/or associates.

by the way, Messi also still hasn't signed the new contract that has been on the table for months now. The current one ends in June ...

Personally I do feel like Messi wants out.

Would be pretty interesting to see him end up at City re-united with Pep. Then have Ronaldo show up at United again with Mou.

Some real interesting Manchester Derbys then.

Also really interested to see how Messi does this year. First season of his career where he doesn't have 2-3 other true elite, world class players lining up in attack with him every night. No more Neymar, and Iniesta is a shell of his former self. In the past he always had more support with the core of Xavi and Iniesta and some pairing of Sanchez, Neymar, Villa, etc. Really all he has left is Suarez. I think his goal production will drop off drastically personally.

He might want out only if he can't force out their current board, which I think is the reason he would want out. He might be leveraging Pep to do it, and Pep would likely be willing to help in the small chance he can actually get Messi to city.

The wolves are circling on that board right now and this won't help. They've had a pretty bad summer, but the lack of Messi actually having a contract and being rumoured to be unhappy might be the nail in the coffin.

I honestly feel like that team might be better off by getting $150M for Coutinho, and then re-invest that money to bolster the defense of that squad.
