Nope. If the Capitals have to scrape by to beat the Leafs they are in for a world of hurt against the rested Penguins. Capitals were my pick to win the cup but there's no way they get by the Penguins gripping the sticks like this. Penguins in 6.

I'm sure there's a more recent comparison, but it's a little like the '89 Flames (President Trophy winners) having all sorts of trouble with the Canucks in round one. They went on to sweep the Gretzky-led Kings in round 2. Obviously that doesn't mean the Caps will beat the Pens (let alone sweep them), but favourites gripping their sticks tight isn't un-presidented in the early going of the playoffs.
