Oilers in 5. Don't think Anaheim can beat the Oilers to be honest.

But McDavid can always take over so I wouldn't be surprised if they pull it out. the scary thing is they are still 3 d men and 2 forward lines away from being a quality team. Going to be scary if they somehow do
Not sure why you & a few others are so hung up on McDavid? In 6 games played the Oilers combined for a total of 29 points; McDavid got 4points, finished with +\- of 0 & drew 1 penalty. Talbot, Klefbom & Larsson, & depth players are making the real difference. The Oilers are hoping the Ducks make the same mistake.

Part of me wants the Oilers to go far and Draisaitl and McDavid to have a stellar run so that they maximize their contracts.

At the same time, the Ducks are going to be well rested and get their blueline back. This one probably goes 5 games But the ducks experience and pushing the edge will drive the Oilers crazy.

Watching that Oilers series it was almost like regular season hockey, very little emotion at all, and the Sharks ran out of gas after game 4.

This is going to play out just like our playoff run from 2015. Oilers beat the weak Pacific division opponent in 6 games in the first round only lose lose to the Ducks in 5.

This is so so tough. I really friggin hate that Ducks team. With a passion. They are total pukes. In no way, shape or fashion did they deserve to sweep the Flames.

This might be unpopular around these parts but I just can't hope for that team to win. Ever. I hate them. I don't want to see Kesler, or Perry, or especially Bieska win another game. Ever. Hate them all.

I'm not going to say Go O..... but, again, that Ducks team just piss me off so much.

There, I got that off my chest.....

Ducks abuse the Oil in 5. Oil season is reminiscent of ours in 2015.

Super easy choice of Ducks winning the series. There's no way a Flames fan should be cheering on the Oilers to win anything ever.

Lets be honest, we would all love to see the Ducks completely spank the Oilers in four straight...will it happen? I sure hope so. Go Ducks, and with that said...

I fully expect the Oilers to win this series as their coach has them crashing and banging and isn't reigning them in.

Our coach specifically talked to Ferland to reign him in (I remember the analysts mentioning Ferland getting called in to Gulutzans office and being told to reign it in and shaking my head in disbelief). Ferland won the Vancouver series by causing that defensive core to turn over the puck and make bad passes. You'd think that might have made an impression on Gulutzan. Why not let Ferland and Tkachuk loose to pound the Ducks on the forecheck when the Ducks had a depleted defense core. It would have been turnover city.

Kassian is playing like Ferland did and made the Sharks defense very uncomfortable. Oh well at least Gulutzan is a great motivator.....hahahahahaha

Another outbreak of mumps causes the Ducks and Oilers to forfeit the series. The winner of Blues-Preds will get a bye.

A lot of your post is gobblede#### and poppycock

but I will say the 'reigning in' of Tkachuk after the LA stuff irks me a lot cause he was playing timid and not himself thereafter. Telling him he can't go out and do things that make him effective, or whatever they said exactly, was a mistake on their part, regardless of how much of a loose cannon he was being. Don't cage the tiger!

I'm not sure I'd call a decade of generational futility, "shrewd", but what do I know...

So the Oilers have great depth now?
Interesting...
