You can watch both of these right now. Go to amazon.com and log in with your Canadian account details.
I am watching The Man in the High Castle as i type this. Watched The Grand Tour this afternoon.
Most Amazon originals have been available to Canadians for over a week.

I'm a Prime member (on Amazon.ca) but Amazon.com says I'm not... How are you able to login in with Canadian info and get American Prime video?

I just go to .com, log in and click the Prime Video Watch Now image. Maybe the stealth launch isn't available to all users.

And me. But I had both for a while (worth it with the video game discount alone before they brought it to Canada).

Some I can watch, others still have region restrictions though.

Will maybe have to call to straighten it out.

It was the Android video app I couldn't download. Installing the APK from elsewhere works, but my firesticks didnt, without sideloading Android video app to them. Strange

Yeah none of the Prime Video apps are available in Canada. I've been going to the website and casting the browser tab to my chromecast.

The website errors me out when I try to watch. Only the Android app works. The website has the option to resume watching, so it is connected to my account properly, but it won't play.

What apk version are you using? I downloaded the latest one, and it logs me out due to geographic location.
Thanks

I connected to a US IP over VPN and I can watch everything on Amazon Prime now without getting region locked.
The interface is terrible, it's exactly the same as their shopping experience so can be a bit clumsy to find things you want to watch.

Nope.
Love how Amazon dedicates resources to tracking illegal downloading without offering a legitimate option.
