Wow was that a temper tantrum from Shamir. I'm a little shocked there isn't a penalty for breaking things intentionally. "My testicle is about to rupture! Get me an ambulance!" Pretty sure if that was the case you wouldn't be standing straight up patiently waiting for them to remove your harness. Phil was clearly unimpressed with him. Too bad he doesn't have the power like Probst has and could say "you know what? I'm not checking you in. You are going to go back and address the broken window to the satisfaction of the building owner."

Oh but I forgot he's an alpha male! Which apparently is a valid excuse for what people normally call unacceptable behavior.

Anyways some teams clearly bonded out of the gate, some just accept that they are a team and work within it and others clearly struggling.

Can't believe those two girls couldn't see the bicycle as they were looking directly at it several times. Sara alone may have got Shamir another leg on the race with her misdirection.

And you're quite right, Sara did more to get them onto the next leg than Shamir.

Sucks for Seth & Olive. They were a strong team that could easily have won it all. There wasn't enough separation between them and the other teams for them to make up the time lost on the U-Turn (although, Matt & Red did the same and leapfrogged a bunch of teams).

Matt & Red definitely have to be the favourites now. Liz & Mike have turned into a solid team after nearly imploding on the first leg.

Yep they are. Wish I could cheer for them but after Red barking at the other team after getting U-turned I just can't. What a disgraceful performance from him. Just can understand why people get so worked up over being U-Turned. They did it because you're a threat, it's not a personal attack on you.

I was just glad a U-turn was on a elimination leg. It annoys me when they fall on a non-elimination leg. I also dislike teams that whine about being u-turned. It's in the rules of the game so they should be used. This isn't really a social game beyond maybe being friendly with a team or two.

I like how they have the u-turn blind though so people start using it more.

Having said that in this case it was more of a personal one...retribution for breaking the promise they made the previous leg. Now I think it's foolish of the other team to expect such a promise to be honored but you also have to expect some sort of retribution if you were the guys who did the promise breaking. Why can't competitors just tip their cap and say "well played".

Definitely a personal uturn, albeit they are a very strong team. Very happy that Olive and Seth went out with no complaining and lots of class. I was rooting for them right from the start.

If not for the non-elimination, I would have lost 3/4 of my racers tonight.


Boy, when things go bad for these teams, they just fall apart.

It was nice to see everyone encouraging Brooke at the roadblock. Redmond calmed down a lot from last week and we saw them co-operating with the other teams.

That was long-ass Fast Forward. They would have been better off using the Express Pass.


Those were a couple of nice locations they visited this week.

Has that ever happened in a ffw before? Don't think they did anything to slow themselves down other than maybe the drive to the check in and still come in third?

Brooke is intolerable. "I can't do this" despite the fact she is halfway through doing what she can't do.

I recall times in past races where a team did the Fast Forward and didn't win the leg. It is rare though.

Since they introduced the Express Pass, they don't do Fast Forwards as much as they used to.

In the early races, they had a FF on every leg, so sometimes a team was so far back of the pack that winning the FF was their only chance to catch up. There have even been a couple of times that a team won the FF and still lost the leg.

That was bizarre. Makes me wonder if something happened in between legs that we didn't get to see?

Brooke continues to annoy. Felt bad for her at the start of the race, now I feel bad for her partner.

Thought it would be Ashton that people didn't like but one of them made the comment that it was Vanck they didn't want to invite to dinner. Makes you want to know what happened off camera.

Matt & Red finally get their win and Liz & Mike survive another non-elimination leg. Crazy how close the final three teams were.

Looks like another double U-Turn next week. That seems like too many.

Unless I didn't follow the preview for next week (which is possible) it seems Liz and Mike will get u-turned on top of the speed bump. At least I think it was mike saying "cowards".

I'd like to revamp this show to get rid of non-elimination legs. Make every "leg" 2 hours of TV, with no elimination at the first hour, and no check in. Just a cliff hanger, this would build an audience for the next episode. The bad teams will fall further behind and get eliminated like they should, and a good team getting in some bad luck(like a bad taxi) will have a bit of a chance to catch up. To keep up with the eliminations, you have some legs that are double eliminations, and some single. This gives them the same number of episodes as having non-elimination legs(which are the worst part of the show), and ups the stakes on some legs. Time to text Phil.

In one fell swoop, I lose half my team. If only they had turned around immediately after figuring out they made the wrong turn, they likely would have been good. Not getting both goats from the goat guy didn't help either.


bigtmac19 is the first person to lose all four racers. Cheese still hasn't lost one.


Looks like next week is a two-hour episode. I expect the first hour to be a non-elimination and the second to send someone home.

I hope it's Brooke and Scott who go home. She's so whiny. I wouldn't be upset with any of the other four teams winning.
