Also, we have new scarves in if you want one. They'll be $20 until the end of the game on May 5 and $25 after.
I'll try and make it!

We've got a page on Facebook page here where I set up events that are outside regular game days. https://www.facebook.com/footsoldierssg/

Since we're a small group, we have a Facebook chat that handles a lot of the communication. I think I can add anyone to the chat though.

Just in case anyone still reads this thread, the club will be doing "Show Up Ship Out" again this year for certain games.

For the home opener May 5, you can get a ticket, pint, and bus ride to and from the game from Ship and Anchor for $15. Bus leaves at 6:15, game starts at 7.

Also, Foothills showed up to the supporters AGM and leaked their new kits to us. They look damn good, and they'll be available online this year. I think the club is officially unveiling them in May.

Sherm, just curious if you are involved with the club in any capacity?

Got a call today about season ticket handouts being next week.

Sherm, for next week's home opener I think I'll be a bit late as I'm working until 6 but I'm gonna have to meet you and purchase a scarf!

Foothills FC won their first game of the season in dramatic fashion, erasing a 3-0 deficit to win 4-3. Was great to meet Shermanator and some of the other Foot Soldiers. Anyone on the fence about going to a game please do so, it's a great atmosphere and a really fun way to support local soccer.

It was such a perfect night for soccer. What a resilient effort by Foothills, to claw their way back and get that winning goal late was amazing.

I echo the sentiments about coming out. It's an excellent product.

There was something to be said about that sunset after the final whistle. Just a lovely evening all around.

Highlight package of the first game, complete with epic music. Second game goes today at 2 pm.

Foothills complete the double with a 2-0 win over TSS Rovers.

Not going to lie, I absolutely hate the venue they are playing in this year and cannot wait to be somewhere better next year. But on the bright side, the supporters stand is directly in the beer gardens, so there's that.

It hate it too. There is no atmosohere with everyone along the edge of the pitch three rows deep. Hopefully something better is available next year.

It's just an utter shame there isn't a way to make something like Broadview work. Plus, how much better does the free advertising get than all the cars driving by on Memorial?

Foothills do the double over Victoria Highlanders in Victoria this weekend. 1-0 and 3-1 wins put them at 5-1-0 to start the season, 5 points up on Seattle Sounders U-23 for second place in the NW division.

Personally, I think the roster is weaker than last year's with the Adekugbe and Russo injuries, and the departure of Bauche, but they seem to be getting the job done.

In case anyone is interested, the Calgary Foothills WFC team is playing their UWS home opener tonight at 6 pm against Santa Clarita. The opponents have former Canadian international Lauren Sesselmann and Venezuelan international Deyna Castellanos.
