I alternate between a few simple but good ones

-No milk, tablespoon of cream cheese.

Or

-Tablespoon of Salsa

Or

-Tablespoon of BBQ sauce

Or

-Shred up and melt in a slice of Kraft Singles

Good old fashioned no milk, extra butter is also awesome

The best Kraft dinner contains absolutely nothing made by the Kraft corporation what so ever, get Italian pasta, make a bechemal sauce, add fresh grated cheese and sautéed onions and mushrooms then bake in oven for half an hour with a bread crumb topping.

Yeah keep it clean. My recipe.

-remove 1/3 of the noodles (I keep the extra noodles in a jar for future macaroni dishes)
-boil noodles to al dente and drain every drop of water
-mix in cheese, double the butter, and only a splash of milk.

Extra cheesy goodness! Yum yum!

The key to a delicious bowl of KD is when the noodles are draining. Put the pot back on the stove and heat the butter and milk. Once it just boils add the cheese packet. I like to add some salt and pepper as well. Now add the noodles back in. This will give you a hot pasta sauce with your hot noodles. If you just dump everything on top of the noodles it isn't as well blended, nor is the temperature right.

Instead of the original KD I like the spirals or the extra creamy versions.

Switching from KD to Annie's is my first step. The white cheddar shells are my favorite.

Add a crapton of butter (pretty much my go-to with anything), just a bit of milk, and salt to taste.

It's all about the balance, but I find adding anything else to macaroni and cheese just ruins it. I'm also not a huge fan of fancy baked versions.

And the best dinner at Olive Garden contains nothing from Olive Garden at all. Just go to Sobeys and get some extra virgin olive oil, a red onion, a red pepper, a clove of garlic, some green onions, some mushrooms, some ground beef, some crushed tomatoes, maybe a bay leaf, some parmesan, a bit of mozza, and oh crap, don't forget the flour and the eggs and the salt. Umm, also, you'll need some grapes, some yeast, a big f-off carboy, a few months, and while you're waiting, you can make your candles with a few bees, in a multi layered box with these special drawers that separate the honey from the wax. The wicks you can make from hemp. Just plant your plants a year in advance of dinner, and you'll have time for all of this.

Just kidding. Your recipe sounds good.

KD is gross. The pasta has a weird texture and the shape is dumb. Macaroni should be elbow shaped, period.
