For god's sake correct the thread title. Why do you hate us GreenLantern?

Hopefully all the disappointment about this lineup keeps Insomniac in check with their plans for EDC.

I'm curious as to what EDC is going to do this year. I just looked at the lineup from last year and it looks like they booked every single major DJ there is in the world. What do they have left now? Are they just gonna book the same lineup and roll with that? I have an extremely hard time believing they can book that many fresh acts this year and not have a ton of repeat acts.

It's a great year for djs since they seem to be moving away from your typical pop radio djs (Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, etc) to more deep/tech house acts. Booka Shade, Jamie Jones, Loco Dice, Luciano, Maya Jane Coles, Richie Hawtin and Seth Troxler should all be unreal.
Oh heck yeah, Kalkbrenner is going to be amazing. Moby, Richie Hawtin and Prydz are going to be wicked dance parties.

Really only way they can improve is having Swedish House mafia, Eric prydz, Daft punk, Skrillex or Deadmau5. Every other dj was pretty much there.

EDC is similar to Ultra.
You expect every major act in Electronic music to be there every year. It's getting to hear new stuff by all of them for the first time that's the exciting part.

If you're going make sure you check out Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler. Probably two of the best DJs no one has heard about.

Apparently the Chili Peppers were only booked an hour before the lineup was released.

They really were the last choice eh? What a mess.

Yeah that's kind of a joke. Tollet couldn't call up Josh Homme and get Queens to drive a couple miles to Indio to co-headline with YYYs/MM? I just feel like there are so many better options out there than RHCP to headline. I would honestly have preferred Muse/The Killers or anybody really to headline Sunday

How the hell did they not get Queens of the Stone Age? I thought for sure they would be a lock. Bummer.

I saw RCHP a few months ago and I was blown away.. I wasn't expecting a whole lot but the show was great.

They were all in great shape, sober, very energetic, sober, dancing around on stage, sober, sounded very crisp and on the mark, and they were also very sober. Which is more than I can say for a lot of bigger bands I have seen over the years. I would pay to see them again today.

What little interest I had in seeing the Chili Peppers disappeared when Frusciante left the band. Although I guess it would be cool to see Flea do his thing.

Looks like it will probably be Pretty effin Lights or Eric Prydz in the Sahara during the Chili Peppers. I know where I'll be.

Catching Eric Prydz in North America when he's here is a must.

He doesn't come over much cause he's apparently got a big fear of flying.

Flea is a marathoner and a VFFer.
