At walmart.ca I just purchased GTA 5 for PS3 for $25, as well as Call of Duty Ghosts for $10. I haven't turned on the PS3 in about 5 years, time to give it a shot.
Ordered a jacket at 67% off from steepandcheap, bike gear (dropper seat post, helmet+clipless shoes+pedals+for the wife) at roughly 40-50% off at chainreaction.
With black friday and cyber monday becoming a bigger and bigger part of Canadian culture, when are we going to synchronize our thanksgiving with the US? From what I understand, Canadian TG isn't even a stat for newfies so it's not universal across the country. It's not like I'm productive at work today due to the mad online shopping. This needs to be a stat!!!

Hopefully never. Must we step in line with the US on everything?

Found Superstore has the best deal for Xbox One - got the console (no Kinect) AC bundle for $350, get a $50 GC AND they have save double the GST - so got console + Halo for less than the sale ($350) price.
Now, need to see if anywhere has deals on Xbox One accessories

I believe Target and possibly Bestbuy has the controllers for $40.

I'm not sure I understand the loyalty to this specific date. It's not a deeply rooted religious day like the birth of JC or anything. According to wiki, the day was determined by politicians in 1957.
But anyways, just picked up my next years of work clothes at hautelook.com around 60% off stuff. Beating my credit card into submission today.

Technically Christmas isn't either
I absolutely see no reason, need, or likelihood of moving Canadian Thanksgiving. All black friday is is another "retail holiday". No different than Montana or other border states cashing in on Canadian Family Day by having blowout sales then.
I'm surprised retailers haven't created a new "holiday" for the lull between shopping in shoulder seasons. I'd imagine something like a Black Friday in June would spike sales more than this at the start of an already busy shopping season.

There was a Simpsons episode where greedy ad executives talked about creating Product Day and Christmas 2.
I went to future shop yesterday becuase a TV was on sale that I wanted (sale went to December 4, so I thought it was not anything super special). I get there and they had a "pre-Black Friday" sale already going on and I got an even better deal.
Whoever heard of a pre-black friday sale? In Canada. So bizarre, but I'll take it!
