Default Philatelists Unite!! (Stamp Collectors)

Or dont, I dont care.

My dad inherited a sizable stamp collection eons ago and ever since has really never had any use for it.

He'd like to get it looked at and appraised and then assess his options. Who do I call or where do I go? Anyone know anything about stamps other than their popular application on postage?
