The World Health Organisation (WHO) has issued a long-awaited report on electronic cigarettes that calls for regulation of the devices and their contents, as well as bans on indoor use, advertising and sales to minors. The United Nations health agency, in a report to be debated by member states at a meeting in October, voices concern at the concentration of the multibillion dollar market in the hands of transnational tobacco companies.
WHO urges a range of regulatory options, including prohibiting e-cigarette makers from making health claims – such as that they help people quit smoking – until they provide "convincing supporting scientific evidence and obtain regulatory approval".
E-cigarettes should be regulated to "minimise content and emissions of toxicants", and those with fruit, sweet and alcoholic drinks flavours should be banned, it said, while vending machines should be removed in almost all locations.

All I know is that I'm on three weeks and 3 days without a normal smoke. I've learned a couple of key things

When your lungs start trying to clear themselves they fire up phlem right in the middle of a phone call or conversation without warning.

When you get your sense of smell back the worst smell is smokers, I feel bad saying it, but its over powering

When you get your sense of taste back some things that you used to live you don't like any more.

Yes. Drink a ton of water. VG is a humectant so it draws moisture from your mouth.

Congrats. 3 and a half months for me!

I slid off the wagon badly this weekend, damn alcohol made me do the devil act. It was a pack over the weekend, but I guess I'm starting over.

I'm not a smoker, but I wouldn't look at it like that, I don't think. It was a hiccup, dude; you're not starting over. Just pick up where you left off on Thursday and keep truckin'.

The City of Calgary is conducting a survey about e-cigarettes. Thought y'all would be interested in taking the survey:

I smoke like a chimney when I drink but never crave a smoke when I'm sober (literally I've never smoked a cigarette while sober)

Unfortunately, I drink pretty much every weekend so I'd really like to cut out the smoking.

I was thinking of picking one of these up to get rid of that habit.

People should fill this out before we get unjustified blanket regulations based on hysteria.

I found the vapur e-vaporizers that smoke but don't have any nicotine great for quitting smoking. I can even smoke in the house on the couch as it is just water vapour with some flavor and glycrine. Going on a month without a cig now.

I don't smoke, but would like to get into e-cigs sans nicotine. This sounds perfect. I'll check Amazon, but what is the one you smoke called?

Don't go to Amazon. There are plenty of reputable specialized sites.

What exactly are you looking for? Something that looks like a cigarette?

It doesn't need to look like a cigarette. Don't really care what it looks like to be honest. Just thought maybe it would be fun to smoke something that tastes good and is relatively harmless, so that's what I'd be after more than anything.

Go to a reputable store in the calgary area. They can show you the different set ups and then you can try different flavours. Most should carry 0 nic juice.

For finding a store, look at their branding. Aside from putting a professional image forweard, make sure they have different "lines" of equipment (ie, they don't have all items the same brand, like "esmoke 180, 280"). Also good to see they sell different lines of ejuice.

You're totally George Costanza.
