I drafted him a few years ago and have looked to get him back ever since I dealt him away.

Is this true???? If so, that rule is dumb. Why on earth should someone be discouraged from making a post about a trade.

I get that everything should be posted in a thread so nothing is missed but if the GM is interested enough to do so, make a new fancy thread about it!

I find it very hard to believe that GM's are no longer supposed to be making new threads about trades...can someone please clarify?

OK so it wasn't...this is important to catch.

I think its "protocol" to post all trades in the trades thread because they were having issues with e-mail. But you can make any thread you want about a trade.

If people are unclear about this it should be addressed so that we still get quality new threads about trades.

The minor trades thread has slowly morphed into the "all trades thread" and in doing so killed the old norm of standalone trade threads - which i believe generate more discussion.
