I dont like how much space there is between the letters of "The Last Jedi."

Thats just poor kerning.

It is a bit sloppy -- you can tell with the logos side by side they did it so that 'The Last Jedi' took up the same amount of horizontal space as 'The Force Awakens' despite having 4 less letters. Kind of lazy.

Its kind of funny how much the Legends EU exists yet isn't supposed to exist.

In the EU Luke's son is Ben Skywalker.

In the EU Han and Leia have three kids, twins named Jacen and Jaina and another son named after his grandson.

Basically Anakin is eaten by a genetically engineered dog. Jacen goes evil and becomes a Sith Lord who takes over the Galactic Alliance and becomes Darth Caedus. Then he's stabbed through the face by his twin sister.

So if Rey is a Skaywalker and stabs Ben solo through the face killing him after he became a Sith Lord, can we not cough and say "ripoff?"

Really, the amount of Galactic strife the Skywalkers are directly responsible for is reprehensible.

One would imagine that The Republic, the Rebels (??) and the First Order should call a Roundtable for discussion.

Quote:
Look...we all disagree with one another's politics and methods, and this has caused considerable Galactic consternation.

But I think the one thing we can all agree on is that the Skywalkers have perpetrated more Galactic turmoil than any single family can reasonably expect to have the right to inflict.

I propose that a brief hiatus of conflict between us wherein we collaborate to exterminate the Skywalker family down to the last child, upon such a conclusion that at which point we may once again dissolve our company and resume our respective Galactic hostilities.

All in favour?

Yeah, even in the future, EU, there are the Skywalkers, causing problems.

At the end of the day though, and i won't get into it, in the Star Wars galaxy, the Sith aren't the villains, the Jedi are actually evil.

The Droids are like the Lieutenant Frank Drebin or Inspector Clouseau of the Star Wars Universe.

They just fall ass-backwards into success.

How the heck does someone get named after their grandson? Does the falcon fly around the sun to time travel all Star Trek like?

yeah, whoops but too lazy to change it because if there's one thing they don't do in the Star Wars universe is fly backwards around the sun to do time travel. They use the Force and pretend they've gone back in time.

Also you could argue that this story isn't a Skywalker story, but the story of two droids caught up in Intergalactic shenanigans
The most impressive thing about the droids is just what great staying power the technology has - we can barely keep a computer functional and usable for five years max before it's obsolete, yet C3P0 and R2-D2 are able to run from Anakin
through past Luke without any upgrades. Impressive.

There is a 15 year gap where they are owned by the Organas, so who knows what they did to them.

Then again, those Naboo star fighters looked pretty damn sleek. Y-Wings... don't. Maybe tech moves backwards!

Considering Naboo was peaceful with a volunteer security force it would make sense their fighters would focus a lot on aesthetics for "display purposes" while the Y-Wing was a utilitarian bulk fighter-bomber needed for war. Would make sense they didn't put too much stock into aesthetics.

Then you have the X-Wing which is simply the best and coolest looking star fighter in any galaxy. There is simply nowhere to go but backwards after that.

Actually I really liked the concept of the Y wings. They were around in the early days of the Clone Wars as heavy bombers.

When they first came out they were sleek and armored and they looked nasty

By the time ANH rolled around they looked worn down and stripped down and they had parts taken off of them and they had probably been stolen from a scrap heap somewhere and had parts cannibalized off of them to get other ones into space

The one theme that I really loved between the PT and the OT trilogy was that the ship design had gone from colorful and artistic to somewhat brutal and simple.
