Fantastic Analogy! I hope you are on the mark.
Also I think the only deity that needs to be discussed in here is Mr. Iginla.

OMFG! Grant Pollock had an email from a guy, who has a friend that works for a phone company. That email says Iginla called in to change his number from Calgary to Boston.
It must be true, it's on news.

Not sure how serious this is but as read by Grant Pollock on Global News tonight, someone who knows someone at the phone company said they have changed Iginla's phone number to a Boston area one and he's already there.
So I guess rumoured now and still is Iggy to Boston.

It was an off-topic comment made out of place, why don't people just ignore it and skip over, so it stays on the previous page and the discussion can continue.
Non-believers sure get bent out of shape easily. Watch the next few pages get derailed instead of talking about Iginla - which really, should be a huge topic of discussion right now.
Still hoping he goes to the Kings as the package they could offer (Bernier, Toffoli, Forbort in particular) is superior to a package built around Spooner (Boston), or Maatta/Harrington (Pittsburgh).
The Flames need to get the best return package even if it means Iginla staying in the west. If they end up taking an inferior return just to get him out East it will be a massive failure.
Hate to sensationalize this like American media, but really this next week is a crossroads for the direction of this entire organization - how they fare here could make or break the next decade. They NEED to get this one right.

If, however, the team just refused him the choice. . . . Naw, not cool from where I sit.
|
LOL. Yeah, the Flames are surely considering that.
Your analogy is as close to rushing him out like a midnight move as I've read yet. Feaster may have made some poor transactions, but this team has one of his best friends as in a Sr management position. Not like that matters, but just reinforcing how outlandish the suggestion of not letting him go on his terms is.

Viewing the rumors from the Chicago point of view...
I don't see Iginla as a good fit in Chicago...Hossa and Kane are the RWs on the top two lines...barring catastrophic injury, there is no need to displace them. What Chicago needs is a #2 Center, Bolland is dismal on draws, and has never clicked with scoring at the NHL level, a third line center at this level, at best.
Moreover, if Feaster mentions Leddy or Saad, end of discussion. These two have far too big an upside for a rent-a-player, 'Hawks have 3 FAs that they must take a look at bringing back, Emery, Stalberg, and Bickell...Fitting Iginla under the cap doesn't seem likely to me.
Now if Feaster takes a look at Bickell, Stalberg, or Frolik plus a pick, then the issue is where would Iggy fit on the roster, and bringing Iggy to Chi might be contemplated by Bowman.
But I see the 'Hawks as the least likely destination from Iginla's alledged list.

Just had to go open that can of worms.
Whoever said it should just acknowledge it, apologize and move on. Let's be respectful of each other's views. Don't need others chiming in with the atheist card, or whatever else. Do not care for that.
Anyways, Iginla talk...go!
