The PP is doing well, although I agree that Jarome and Cammalleri have not been big contributors and perhaps Backlund does deserve more minutes on the PP.
However, and this is not directed at you, no matter what the matchups are 5v5 ...0 goals 3 assists in 6 games between the two highest paid forwards is unacceptable.

Quite possibly I'm crazy. But I won just a little over $400 on the superbowl. Flames are paying out $2.45 for $1, so I figured I'd lay an even $400 on them.

I don't think anyone is going to disagree with that, don't think anyone has been.

I also think sharing the load on the PP will benefite 5on5 as well. Keeps Iginla and Tanguay fresher for their next shift.

6-4 Detroit.

Detroit has weak defence
Calgary has weak goaltending

Both teams strong on the power play, weak on the penalty kill.

Calgary keeps it close in a shoot out but Franzen gets an empty netter to seal it.

I know Kipper isn't great in the shoot out, but I hope we don't just give Detroit an empty net.

Holy sh#$ what if someone pulled their goalie in the shootout and let a defenseman play it 1 on 1?

I'm sorry had to look it up.

24.2 Procedure - The Referee shall ask to have announced over the public address system the name of the player designated by him or selected by the team entitled to take the shot (as appropriate). He shall then place the puck on the center face-off spot and the player taking the shot will, on the instruction of the Referee (by blowing his whistle), play the puck from there and shall attempt to score on the goalkeeper. The puck must be kept in motion towards the opponent’s goal line and once it is shot, the play shall be considered complete. No goal can be scored on a rebound of any kind (an exception being the puck off the goal post or crossbar, then the goalkeeper and then directly into the goal), and any time the puck crosses the goal line or comes to a complete stop, the shot shall be considered complete.
The lacrosse-like move whereby the puck is picked up on the blade of the stick and “whipped” into the net shall be permitted provided the puck is not raised above the height of the shoulders at any time and when released, is not carried higher than the crossbar. See also 80.1.
The spin-o-rama type move where the player completes a 360° turn as he approaches the goal, shall be permitted as this involves continuous motion.
Only a player designated as a goalkeeper or alternate goalkeeper may defend against the penalty shot.

which might explain why the Flames are trolling the bottom of the Western Conference

Meaning, we're making the sucky teams think we're gonna suck with them, then we'll pull up, finish 1st win the Presidents and the Cup? Yeah.. NHL.com got that right.

Actually quote? Interesting as 23 or Hudler's 25 goals last year were ES.

Note to self: NHL rulebook is huge buzz-kill.

Especially when both are currently playing 21-22 minutes a game. Neither is a guy who should be playing that much at this point in their career and especially so when a guy like Backlund is playing so well and only getting 14 minutes/game.

Calgary takes out frustrations from the loss despite domination on Saturday, outshooting Detroit 67-9.

Detroit wins 2-1 (OT)

Howard falls over dead from exhaustion after the game.

"systems are overrated"

I nearly spit out my drink. No wonder MacLean is on tv and not coaching.

Sportsnet just said the Flames have points in all their road games! Made me laugh more than it should of.

I think it will be a good game tonight, my first game watching on sportsnet tonight. Ive forgot how Rob Kerr is at calling games so it should be interesting.

His man parts are in a vice the whole game and one of the producers then tighten them periodically to raise the excitement level in his voice.
