I would have gladly taken a point from Doncaster and moved on, especially given Tranny equalized in the 87th. Not to be. Tranmere dominated for long periods too but it was one of those games.
Need to turn it around against Preston.

Very disappointing, but still at the top of the table.

Tranmere needed a late 85th minute Cassidy equalizer to draw Preston 1-1.
It breaks the losing streak and Rovers are still top of the table by 2 points.
They really miss Akpa Akpro who is out until New Years.

Tranmere was supposed to play their First Round FA Cup match at Conference side Braintree Town.
The field was unplayable!

0-0 against Walsall. Not great but still top. Sheffield Utd drew too which helps.

Yeah it was a good result upon reflection but they gave up another late late goal. This one in the 92nd minute. Just think how many points the club would have if they didn't keep shipping these late goals?

you mean 3rd round!
That will be played on January 5th. That's when the big boys (Premier League and Championship) get added. I'm excited to see who Rovers Draw. There are a couple of conference teams still around that Rover could draw
Tranmere Rovers will be #54!
http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/News/2...w-numbers.aspx
For winning today, Rover got £27,000 prize money woo!

Rovers have been drawn away to Derby County for the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
Derby Country are currently 16th in the Championship.
If this were at Prenton Park I think Rovers win for sure, on the road it'll be more difficult.

But its good to see them up against some stiff competition. Looking forward to this.
If they keep this up maybe we'll be able to see them play on TV soon.
