Poirier was stuck on his stomach and manages to get the puck to Elson who goes in on a 2 on 1.

Flames just stifling the Barons. They have not had a shot on goal since the 1st minute. Currently outshooting them 8-1 with 9 minutes to go in the 2nd.

McGrattan is having a good game. He does have some offensive skills here. He's created a few chances and just using his size to make space.

Kulak puts a hard shot on Broissoit that almost fools him.

Flames just keep firing on him and he's looking more and more shaky on some of them.

That is a terrifying sight. McGrattan in front of the net just hacking away at a loose puck to put it in.

The Barons just kind of left him alone.

Wotherspoon with a nice block on Gernat. The guys are just not afraid to get in front of that puck.

Wolf creams Craig in the corner as well. He still wants at him. I don't know what's going on there, but Wolf wants a piece of him.

Turner Elson now has a hat-trick of Player of the Week awards. The AHL Flames have named him POTW for this past week and giving him 3 in a row.

And Flames get into penalty trouble again. Wotherspoon with his 3rd penalty of the night.

Shore getting into the Barons zone short handed to kill off some time.

Thiessen with some quick moves to get across the crease to make a save. Then puts out the pad to make another save.

Barons attacking the net with a little more jump then the last period.

Lots of back and forth action without a whistle. Speed of the game has picked up immensely.

Hanowski-Agostino-McGrattan with a nifty little play to get the puck into the Barons zone and Hanowski is able to fire off a good shot but Brossiot makes the save and we get the first whistle in about 4 or 5 minutes.

If Thiessen keeps playing like this, we just might be okay.

Barons look to be playing dump and chase now to try to get into the Flames zone. It's not very effective.

Connor Jones with a couple chances but one is off the post and save is made on the second one.
