Short term so long as the goaltending and defence hold up, it won't sink them to a Carolina level, but it will have an impact.

The Flames will grind it out, but this team is more about the sum of the parts. I think we have a few interchangeable parts among our forwards.
The defense is a different story though. They are being carried on the backs of a few individuals.

Things are about to get ugly.
Amazing goaltending was already the scotch tape holding this baby together. Resolute said it earlier, that's going to have a much more drastic impact on the win loss column for Calgary than the centre depth issue, but, having the two things happen at once could be catastrophic in the short term.

Our defense and goaltending remains the same, and is our strength. Even for our offense, with Gio, Brodie, Wideman and Russel, we get most of our chances. We will see a drop but not a significant one as long as our goaltending and defence remain healthy

Voted for Pace will slow, but wish I had abstained.
My (on TV) viewing of Granny and Jooris has been small, and non existent for Ferland. I have not seen any play live. So in short, how the hell would I know. Should be fun to see though.
Slightly off topic - what does the QOTD header stand for? I had guessed Quote of the Day, but that does not fit.

I think that over time, the combination of Backlund and Stajan both being out will have an impact - especially if any other key injuries pop up.
But I chose the third option because I think the call-ups will fill in fine while they are running on adrenaline.

Also, while Hiller is bound to regress from his early-season stats, there's no guarantee that he will do so in the next six games (which are the ones that we're being polled about). Hot goaltending could still keep the team afloat for a week or two longer.
By the way, while I voted for 2-3-1, it is of course silly to predict the team's exact record in those terms. My ESP (which has never ever let me down) informs me that while the Flames will indeed get 5 points in their next 6 games, their record will actually be 0-1-5 (with three of those being shootout losses). Book it. (Or, you know, don't.)

Obviously in the minority here, but I voted for the last option. Wins against the Hurricanes, Panthers, Canadians, and Caps. The quality of opposition over the next 6 games isn't very good at all. Also, Granlund and Ferland are bound to have an extra jump in their step and i can see the whole team rallying over the next handful of games.

Goaltending will be huge factor in how this team performs over the next 6 games. Moving Byron to center and the addition of Granlund will help fill the void of injured Backland and Stajan. This team seems to do well when the odds are stacked against them which is why I chose the second option.

They should fall off and become a bottom feeder but previously the young guys have brought a lot of energy and we do well.

I think it depends how long Colborne is out. If it's a week or less, then I think we will be fine. I think Granlund can step into 3rd line duties and perform.
Although losing 2 of the leaders of the club (Stajan & Backlund) on the same day is a significant loss and may have more of an impact than the position they play.
