I agree with Sutter. Jusso has been average at best this season. Hoping we win the lottery and draft Owen Power.

That would be a good start to this rebuild

Prior to this season, in limited viewing he seemed to have a swagger uncommon in rookies. Made small plays with confidence.

He seems to have lost much of that.

To be fair of all the seasons to break in with the Flames it's the 2021 sad sack of a team. Is there anyone on the roster playing with confidence these days? I've been underwhelmed by the player but I do see promise. This is a difficult season to judge young players given the unusual circumstances of playing in the pandemic.

Treliving's absolute reluctance to include him in any deal that could have landed us a top 6 player may be his biggest flaw. I truly believe that Brad over values his prospects so much so it hurts his negotiating ability. He may be the most active and has lines with everyone but he seems to be the most homerish as well.

This should put to bed any illusions that play in Liiga is transferable to NHL, and should make people very suspect about players like Lundell transferring production immediately.

Valimaki may have been an even bigger disappointment this season than the whole team was. I mean, I'm not giving up on him yet, but man did I ever expect more from this guy (fairly or unfairly).

I was pretty excited after his performance in the Finnish league, but he's been underwhelming this year. He's still young though so there's time to improve.

It is not that simple. Players have managed to do it—Puljujarvi has been unspectacular but useful in his current NHL campaign, after a significantly less impressive showing than Valimaki's in Liiga.

Is this that rookie that's played 5 minutes in the last 2 yrs? No kidding, he really let the rest of the team down.

Jesus, tough crowd. It’s his rookie year and he has played okay considering all that’s going on. He’s the least of our problems, and a part of any rebuild or retool.

Is Juuso in his D+4 season as a defenseman the right comparable for Lundell?

Because I think Aho is a closer one and Lundell has a good shot to be a 3C next year
