Canuck friendly bar? I prefer iron but in a pinch good old steel will do.

There's no where here in particular where Flames fans usually go. Unless you organize a big group of people it will be hard to find a lot of Flames fans in one place.

I hope they never do . Its going to be interesting race in the west for the last wild card slot down the last stretch of games. I hope they miss it this year. Then some off the idiot Canuck fans around here can't say boo to me about the Flames missing out. I will enjoy watching the Canucks fall into the celler. I think after wendsday we will see a better picture as to what happens. Louango has finally moved on and we will see If Kessler actually wanted out. Their playoff hopes look bleak IMO . when fans around these parts consider mike santorelli as a superstar you know the canucks are where the flames were a few years back.

That does not surprise me. That is the worst one out of the three in Greater Victoria. I live approximately four kilometres away from that restaurant and I go to the Blanshard at Hillside location or the Langford location because of the overall superior service.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I'm in Vancouver for a few days and would love a recommendation of where I can go to watch some Flames games?

Depends where you are but all the main ones have been mentioned. No Canucks game so it shouldn't be too tough to ask a place to put the game on. BPs is always an option as well.

Having nothing to do that night, I went in sporting my Flames hat, and sat with my wife and watched the game. When I was first approached, the waitress was very nice, got us our orders, and left. Canucks scored. I needed another, was brought my beer. Then the Flames started scoring. I don't remember the exact score, but we kicked the Canuck's ass something to the tune of 5-2 or something. Every time they scored, I didn't celebrate egregiously, but I did have a muffled yell with a small fist pump. I think by the time we were up 3-1, I glanced around for my waitress, and she was nowhere to be found. Everybody in the bar was giving my wife and I stank eye, and I shrugged it off. My waitress didn't once come back to our table, and I had to go to the bar and get her attention to pay my bill. not to mention she was an uber bitch when I did ask for it

Long story short, Vancouver fans take themselves way too seriously.
Hope you upper decked the toilet at least.

I guess you don't have time to grow a mullet - but it would certainly help.

And if your stepping out at night pack your platform shoes and your two piece polyester leisure suit.

Hey guys, trying to re-ignite this thread. Flames fan living in Vancouver, looking for a place to watch some of the games other than home. Is there an actual Flames Bar that anyone knows of? Owned by a Flames fan type thing that would be very pro-Flames for this series? Probably a tough ask, but as the cities are relatively close, I figured there'd be a fighting chance.

I'd really love to watch with some fellow flames fans, most of my buddies that support the Flaming C are spread out over the country.

Went to Calgary in Feb and took in the game vs Van on 02/14. Would love to do that again, but that was a $2000 4 day trip with the girlfriend. Can't afford another one of those unfortunately. (That was with $120 rt airfare too).

I've been looking for years, but have never found a dedicated Calgary bar. While Black Frog might be an Edmonton bar, you'll often find a handful of Flames fans. It's as close to neutral ground as you're going to find, now that the Sin Bin has closed. (Plus it's a super friendly place.)

I know a bunch of former Calgarians who are going to watch at the ANZA on Friday night. There's sometimes a few Calgary fans at 12 Kings too.

Best place to watch hockey in Vancouver right now is All Star wings. It's this gaudy sports bar with a 100 TVs everywhere. Even when the Canucks were on I could get at least a couple TVs on the Flames game. It'll be a great atmosphere for the playoffs, but its a crap place to go if you aren't watching sports.

I'd be interested if some CPers could put something together to watch some games.
