What does 'CW' stand for and why is it unmistakably tied to teenage drama?

I actually never knew what it was. Apparently CBS and Warner Bros, who both own stakes in it.

The more you know.

I've never seen DH, but it's very much in line with Gossip Girl, Scream, Veronica Mars and shows along that vein. Little edgier, but very much a drama simply directed to the 16-26 crowd

Its funny actually, I was a huge 'Archie' reader.

My dad was a Greyhound Bus Driver for 33 years, when people would go on the bus they'd buy those Archie comics before they left and since you can burn through one of those things in 10 uninterrupted minutes they'd just leave them on the Bus when they were done.

So, as it was my dad's responsibility to clear the Bus at the end of the trip, he'd just bring them home. Better than just trowing them out.

Maybe you should watch the trailer or read about the premise?

Searching the trailer I learned the term 'broflakes', so today is a win no matter what else happens.

Actually I got it from here:

Netflix dropped the first trailer for its new comedy series Dear White People today, and already broflakes (what I’ve decided to call MAGA hat-wearing dudes who complain about “snowflakes” but are themselves overly sensitive) are cancelling their accounts.

You could also watch the movie from 2 years ago.

It's basically making fun of racial tension on both sides. I think it'll be entertaining, but the alt-right is certainly having a meltdown about the title.

I'll watch!

Best to look up the context of that.

I just confuse the "Dear white people" title (which I now understand is ironic?) with this sincere PSA video that MTV put out called "Dear White Guys":

The CW is a tv network in the US. It was created about a decade ago by the merger of the UPN and The WB networks. It is co-owned by CBS and Warner Bros. (which is where the C & W come from).

It's tied to teenage drama because that's the type of programming it typically airs. They have mostly quirky dramas with young casts that typically appeal to young (primarily female) viewers. With Riverdale, they now have 5 shows based on comic books (the other 4 are based on DC superheroes).

Well, "F White People in general, period"

is different than "F White People for being the ones primarily responsible for Trump"

But... you should probably read the premise of the show or read interviews from the creator, it's billed as a show that talks about and makes light of racial tensions and the stereotypes both black and white people create regarding each other.

So, a writer noting that white people are primarily responsible for voting in Trump seems... obvious? I don't know. I think it's a good concept. I think people need to laugh at the current state of racial tension a little bit.

Don't you?
