Default Flames fall 3-1 to San Jose

Whatever. Playoffs!

Also, Burns yelping as he chased Bartkowski down was hilarious and terrifying.

Really sloppy game. Lots of turnovers. I guess it was to be expected with the line-up, but I was hoping to see some of those good habits throughout the night. Flames have a few things to work on absolutely before the playoffs.

Now the real fun begins. Flames better be ready.

Was that a $200k assist for Tkachuk? If so the kid deserves it.

Playoffs, baby.

I thought Ferland had a decent game - but no puck luck at all. Dell had his number tonight.

That was one boring game. Pretty similar to the last game against the Jets a couple of years ago. Both teams just looked like they were trying to not get hurt.

Doesn't matter.

The hype, the nervousness, the excitement, the preparation erases any lingering effects of a late season meaningless loss.

I hope the Flames retire both 26 and 6 in honour of his five years of goofs and gaffs.

Happy the Flames turned their season around lots of positives. Not sure they can win a playoff round but happy they are in the playoffs period. Game was horrid but they had nothing to play for.

I hope we get our D more involved in the cycle come playoff time. To win a series we probably need one goalie win, one great team game, one special teams win, and one comeback win. Gonna need our D to jump into the slot for a comeback win.

Not gonna lie. The joy of this Flames season has been tempered by McLotteryball carrying that pile of garbage to a 100 point season, especially since we gifted those pieces of crap 8 points before we really had our stuff together.

However, it was a good regular season overall, just year 4 of the rebuild with a lot of really good pieces in place for the long term.

Strong management (assuming BT gets re-signed)
Looks like a strong coaching staff
Great young core
Decent D and G prospect pool

Also, nice to see Chucky get his 200k assist on Lazar's 1st goal as a Flame.
