Morrow has become a pitcher and not just a power thrower. He doesn't look for the strikeout every at bat, going deep into most games. Just fantastic how he's evolved.

I only saw a bit of the game but Morrow's slider looked almost Stieb-esque.

Plan is for EE to play tomorrow and start at 1st. Davis scratched tonight with a jammed middle finger. McCoy to play left field.

Sportsnet just put up a graphic describing the Blue Jays HR hitting entitled "Master Blasters", just seems like an unfortunate title.

Rasmus with another hit.

Konerko and Rios two tought outs coming up for Frasor. Good news for the Jays is we do have the top of the order due up in the top of the 9th.

Man have we been at the crappy end of these walk off games this season. Rangers, Rays and White Sox the last few weeks. Still a good road series against a red hot team.

Cordero gets the loss, but the Blue Jays hitters failed more. Way too many runners left on base.

I completely agree, lineup is to blame for last night's loss.

However, I can't wait until some of the young arms in the system are ready for the big leagues. I loathe watching these over the hill veterans like Cordero that we're trotting out in late inning situations. I'm never comfortable watching any of our relievers.

I always get a bad feeling when I see cordero warming up to pitch in late inning especially when we are winning by <2 or tied. Get him out of here! should of played jansen...

I really thought that this year's bullpen was going to be one that we could actually trust - turns out, it is still more of the same. I know the Texas series probably has a bit to do with it, as none of our starters were able to go deep into games, and the bullpen was over-taxed. But I still don't have confidence our pen, late in games and up/down 1 or 2 runs.

I will never understand the blind hate for our bullpen or how people can jump on Cordero after he goes on a tear like he did and then has one bad outing, that was avoidable if JPA could block a ball.

Frasor, Perez, Oliver, Janssen and Santos when he gets back, make up a heck of a bullpen. Cordero had gone 12.1 innings pitched with a 1.59 ERA.

Cordero is not a good reliever anymore. He's managed to bring his season back to respectability but having to rely on him in late game situations is terrifying.

Are there some good pieces? Yes. Janssen, Perez, and Oliver have all pitched very well. Frasor, while I can't stand the guy, is pretty reliable although I would prefer him in lower pressure situations. A healthy Santos should be a big boost as well.

However, in late game situations when it's tied/within a run and is the Jays bullpen vs. the opposition, do you really feel that comfortable right now? I sure don't.

The calibre of arms in the Jays pen this year pales in comparison to several other AL clubs. Even in the East, whose pen do you have the Jays' being better than? Boston?
