CP 2024 Ordered Draft List (April 9th Edition) #8

Each pick you choose who you would take if you were the Flames GM. Not a mock draft of the standings. Who the Flames would pick at #2 (skipping #1) through say #12 or greater if we see the value.

When done we will have CP consensus list for the Flames.

I'll run a few a day with a cut off around total votes so this doesn't take two weeks to complete.

We can run it weekly to see how things change.

This is a big one ... the most likely draft position for the Flames coupled with the CP consensus draft list.

I want a C. But if the draft shapes out like this, I think you have to take Parekh or Buium

I do like to Simulate the lottery on Tankathon. The most frequent player that comes up in the Flames position is Catton. Followed by Buium or Parekh. Also the odd Demidov and Celebrini, but those are rare. No one else though. Just those 5.

Just ran the FC simulator twice.

First one ... Demidov and Basha
Second one ... Dickinson and Hage

Not bad!

Iginla went 23rd both times.

Parekh again for me. I suspect Buium will be a better player but IMO the Flames cant afford to take a chance on an american US college player this early in the rebuild. Too risky.

Worth noting cause I've been hard on him - Helenius is lighting it up in the Liiga playoffs, 2G + 4A in 6GP, which is 2nd on the team in playoff scoring (was 7th in regular season).

if the this is how the draft plays out, I'd be thrilled! Opportunity to draft either Parekh, Buium would be fantastic! I'd take Parekh, but Buium looked awesome yesterday in the Frozen Four semis

Catton and Lindstrom both with bigger injuries this year.
I too wonder if that's why the D have projected higher than both most of the year and will continue to be that way come draft day.

Would be crazy for both + Iginla to be there when the Flames pick... so much anxiety on BPA vs position when all 3 could be homeruns.

Must have added something to their model... before today when I did their sims it was the same except Silayev instead of Buium.
