Another day, another completely garbage out of town scoreboard. Only Winnipeg losing tonight with the Wild, Canucks and Kings all picking up two points.

at this pace, it seems like all 8 playoff teams in the west will have 100 points.

not going to happen, but it sure feels like that....

IMO the cut line will be 97.

Going to need 97 points to be in the playoffs.

Which itself seems crazy.

With LA playing they way they are, I don't know if the Flames can afford to lose another game.
Yes I am being cynical.

Winnipeg's gotta fall out of this thing. I think that the Flames end up making it in the wild card at the expense of the Jets.

When oh when are we going to see a team lose in a game that is not against a team fighting for a playoff spot with us. Vancouver lost to Colorado, who is still technically in the race and everyone else won. It'll be impossible to make the playoffs if other teams don't start losing and now.

Not quite impossible. Win and we're in - it's really that simple. We still control our own destiny. Starts with a big two points tonight.

Sorry for not updating the past couple days. It's been a little hectic this week and I haven't had the chance.

So if LA gets one point or zero points tomorrow, then Calgary goes to the "good" side of the line due to the tie-break. Correct?

So it's lucky number 7 all around tonight.

I really want us to beat Dallas.

Calgary moved on to the right side of the line. With the tie breaker we have on the Kings, our magic # is actually only 4.5, so 2 wins by us, 2 losses by them and an OTL by either team and we're in.

Thursday April 9th: Kings @ Flames. It's going to come down to that.

They play the Oilers twice which are must-lose games for the Coilers' tanking hopes.

I agree - magic # is falsely reassuring right now. Luckily we are in control.

I think if we win one of the last two games we're in.
