Default Explosion near Stadium in Paris, multiple shootings and hostage taking...

There are all kinds of reports on Twitter about an explosion near the stadium where the president was, as well as shootings/shoot outs.

Apparently maybe two attacks underway as there is a shootout reported at a restaurant as well.

ETA: I think that the stadium is the Stade de France where Germany and France were playing a soccer friendly.

An explosion is also reported to have targeted a bar near Stade de France, where France were hosting Germany.

A BBC journalist at the scene says he can see 10 people on the road either dead or seriously injured.

From earlier in the day:

Quote:
The Germany football team returned to their hotel in western Paris after being evacuated following a bomb threat on Friday morning.

The Hotel Molitor said an anonymous caller phoned in the threat at 9.50am local time and that members of Germany’s squad, who face France later on Friday, and all other guests were immediately evacuated.

Police with sniffer dogs went on site to check for potential explosives and a security perimeter was established around the hotel. While the police carried out their searches, Germany’s players spent a few hours up the road at Roland Garros, home of the French Open tennis tournament.

Hopefully more details soon... doesn't even sound like this is under control yet.

Lots of reports say 18 dead now, and one says that there were bodies in the street and people threw sheets from their windows to cover them.

And hostages taken at a concert hall as well now.

Agence France saying hostages have been taken? This is insane.

Yeah, I expect that if ISIS can be linked to these attacks we will see French troops in Iraq and Syria.
