Not to knit pick, but Ortio is the Finish starting goalie. :P
Anyone know if Erixson is actually injured, or going to be out for some significant time, or if he was just being a baby after being slashed?
I would really love being able to see him play as much as possible.

Ramage will be on the Flames sooner than later, he seems like a real blue chip prospect. He looks pretty good for a 4th round pick.

An article on Ramage.
Quote:
“John’s a rock-solid kid and a heart-and-soul player,” Allain said. “Everyone on the team respects him. He’s been around this group, they know him and they trust him.”
“He’s so mentally strong,” added teammate Chris Kreider, the Boston College forward and New York Rangers first-rounder said. “The situation with his dad doesn’t come up at all. We don’t talk about it and I don’t think John wants to talk about it, either.
“The biggest thing about John is he leads by example.”
Nothing screams team like blocking shots and Ramage is always willing to put his frame at risk in front of the puck.
“He’s an expert shot blocker,” Kreider said. “Whenever the coaches show us clips on shot blocking, there’s John. He blocks shots with every part of his body. He does whatever it takes and he’s great at it.”

He seems to have the small things that are hard to teach. If Sutter leaves, I can see Gio, Bouw, Reghr, Exrion, Pelech, Brody, Ramage being our top six in a few years. This team needs to grow with young players. In the NHL today, you see lots of youngsters getting a chance. That's what I feel the Flames need.

Could be the future captain of the Flames. The heart and soul of the future team.
Who knows. I was pleasantly surprised when he was named captain.

Just to note, Tim Erixon was injured in the exhibition game against the Canadians. He'll probably be okay, but in case he misses any time, that's likely why.

Why? I already commented on it in another thread I don't need to go from thread to thread whining about players or posters like some people seem to need to.

Wow, a kid that hasn't played a single NHL game and you are already appointing him the captain of the Flames. You are just so out to lunch.

Having Howse make the final camp for Team Canada is pretty much the same as having a guy on one of the other countries final rosters.
Still not awesome but it wasn't like people were jacked when Neimsz played in the WJHC so perhaps it is best that nobody is there for fans to nitpick every single shift by the guy.
