John Carpenter + Kurt Russell = 80’s gold. MacReady and Snake Plissken were fantastic characters.

Escape is a better movie, but Big Trouble is more campy and fun.

Alien and Aliens are both masterpieces in filmmaking, heck even Alien 3 is very good and a few tweaks away from greatness. This Mother's Day what better movie to watch than Aliens.

Also it shouldn't be a negative that Aliens is about motherhood, Interstellar is about fatherhood and no one has ever used that as a negative against the film.

The most on point comment I read after watching Portrait of a Lady on Dire was "this was fun until I wanted to kill myself."

Spectacular movie, damn near perfect, but leaves you shattered.
