As far as Chris Breen goes, though he doesn't produce offensively, he seems to be pretty solid defensively, hovers around even on +/- much like Regehr did. When it comes to a defenseman of that nature, i feel its best to not hear their name at all, that way you know they're not getting beat.
I've actually like Breen alot. He's a young man who's made good strides over the last few years!
Also, on a side note, now that their season is done, are Gaudreau and Arnold able to be called up by the Heat for playoffs? I realize the Heat already have a TON of players called up, but it might be beneficial to get that pro-experience...
I imagine their studies probably get in the way though...

I know they are not allowed to get called up, I don't if its whether they are not signed yet, or they are still in college, but no they are not getting called up for playoffs.
IIRC as soon as they play a pro game they are done their eligibility for College. The only way you see College players join is if they are done college or are leaving early which Arnold or Gaudreau won't be.

^^^the Patterson call-up seems odd, the Heat appear to be carrying too many players already.
And good for Kolanos, he is having a spectacular AHL season.
From what I understand the Utah Grizzlies are out of the playoffs, so I think that's why Patterson came back up. There's no doubt in my mind that he'll likely be a healthy scratch, although he doesn't hurt the team at all when he's in the lineup. The Heat are just too deep right now.

I love what Ward said about the upcoming games against the Toronto Marlies this weekend: "It'll be a mile marker as to how we've progressed". He didn't make any qualms about their performance against the Marlies this year. He flat out said we've been dominated by them. I'm interested to see how they stack up against one of the best teams in the AHL. The Heat are riding a cloud right now. I wouldn't be surprised if the Heat upset the Marlies.
He also speaks about the black aces and how they could play into the playoffs.

isn't Jessiman a bit of a floater out there? Not sure about it, but I somehow believe he is one of the vets that don't help a lot defensively (maybe Pierre or somebody else can confirm or correct me). Maybe they don't want to have too many of those come playoff-time ... only speculation though.
