I know main UFA is done, but if anyone wants cap to add depth players I have 3.5-4 mill in extra space.

anyone looking for a free depth D-man

Stuart is available. He's already in the minors. He may retire after this season so it's doubtful that you'd be on the hook for next year.

67 OV.

Good injury replacement depth.

Devils could use depth forwards and a D-man. PM works best. Can move picks or prospects.

Sharks also have 7 defenceman now and could part with one. OEL and Stone obviously aren't moving, but anyone else could for the right price. All of them are in that 70-72 range so good bottom pairing options.

Edit: Looking for useable players in both deals. No real interest in prospects (I already know the guys I like) but picks could be considered.

Derek Ryan can be acquired at no cost.
Got into a few games with the Canes last year and showed well - could compete for a spot this year and then is signed cheap for the year after.
Free to someone if they want him - or I will be releasing him

Dean Kukan can also be had for free. Played 8 games with CBJ last season and is still young. Also free or will be released.

First to PM on either will get them.

Why not move OEL and/or Stone?

While they are both great players, having guys on a no trade list limits your potential return and also can limit the fun of the game.

The league thrives off trades.

Because it would be excessively foolish to trade two young, good defencemen you can build your team around. I actually plan on competing this year, not trading because the league is slow.

I don't see my fun limited at all by this move. I doubt those two guys being on a no trade list is why the league has no trades either.

I've got 2 years in now, I don't need advice how to run my team like I'm new. And that advice is absurd and why new players are swooped on like vultures and taken advantage of by guys like you who continuously offer poor deals.

^You've obviously not been on the receiving end of one of Simmer's "trade offers" where he offers garbage for your best player and sends you constant PM's about it.

Enough to drive anyone mad.

Which trade offer was this one?

The most reason one I had sent you a note about involved Perry and Neal...and that was a number of months back.

That can't be it as Perry is definitely not garbage, I must be confused?

The Oilers are excited to have a well balanced, high skilled team this year (thank you re-rates!), but are still looking to build around the pieces we have.

Wants/Needs:
  • CPHL RWers around the 67-69 OV range
  • Depth/injury replacement/utility forwards, preferably <23 years old (i.e., waiver exempt)
On the Block:
  • C Kyle Brodziak, 64 OV, $1.5M, 2 years (86 FO, 69 DF)
  • C/LW David Legwand, 67 OV, $7M, 1 year (78 DF)
  • C Oscar Lindberg, 66 OV, $1M, 2 years (74 SC)
  • C Shawn Matthias, 68 OV, $1M, 2 years (72 SC, 71 DF)
  • C Troy Brouwer, 74 OV, $5.5M, 1 year (78 SC, 88 DF)
  • RW Brad Boyes, 68 OV, $3.5M, 2 years (68 SC, 67 DF)
  • RW Jonathan Marchessault, 66 OV, $1.25M, 1 year (70 SC)
I'm not open to trading my high end players at the moment (Duclair, Brassard, Zibenajad, Zuccarello, Parayko, Spurgeon). I'd like to see what it's like having a team that can win for a few months and maybe push for a playoff spot. I'm not currently open to adding prospects at this time. Picks can be added to deals, but preferably not as primary pieces.

A couple more opportunities to scoop up a prospect or two.
Looking to move Brandon Tanev. Considered one of the top college UFAs last year. Would like a 4th for him alone.

Alternatively I would package Warren Foegle (7.0C rating on HF - high 3rd rounder a couple years ago) and Tanev for a 3rd. Foegle is worth a 3rd probably alone, so basically getting Tanev fo' free'.

plus an adder of:
Josh Morrissey
Marko Dano
Kasperi Kapanen
Trent Fredric
Tage Thompson
Dennis Chowlowski
Anthony DeAngelo
Logan Stanley

for an upgrade on the main piece.

Flames looking for an AHL dman and can offer up various AHL forwards or G.

Arnold, Benik, Ehn, Schaller, Olofsson, Vecchione or Stevens could go in a package or one for one.

PM is best
