I live in Evanston, and some times shop at Walmart now.
It was really a mind blowing experience going in there and not finding it an unpleasant experience. Something I have only seen in small town USA out of Walmart before.

Personally I'm kind of honoured to be unranked, it's a victory not being on that S***y list.

That Loblaw's grocery store up there is pretty amazing as well. I was there for the first time this morning and I was blown away with how nice it is.

Far north depends on your reference I suppose. The north boundary of Evanston is 144 Ave which is equivalent to the south side of Fish Creek Park ( the passport office on McLeod Trail is 143 Ave) and Calgary goes on for a long ways south of that.

Far? No Toronto to Brampton is far 44km. Vancouver to Langley is far 53 km. Calgary to it's furthest point south is 22km. Border line bike ride.

Weird, Google Maps says that from the north edge of Evanston near the northern city limits to 72 St SE near the southern city limits is 54.5 km by bike.

Mind you, the furthest points I could find from Toronto to Brampton were about 78 km.

I thought we were talking downtown to the edge of the city not overall city size.
