"If you only have one shot in five games you shouldn't have the nickname Hockey....you're not that good"
Well you dolt, he got the nickname at Boston College where he was a finalist for the Hobey Baker in 2 of 3 seasons, winning it once.

That's my story and I am sticking to it. GFG!!

If TJ keeps playing the way he has been so far, they might surprise.
He has been one of the best players in the NHL over the first 2 weeks. Kudos.

Lol, besides being amazing at hockey at every level he's played at leading to the NHL.

Can anyone with the game feed recorded get a clip of Healy saying that?
I'd LOVE to dig that up every now and then for the next decade.

a couple of items:
For Ramo to match Hiller in shots against through 4 games, he'd have to face approximately 70 shots next game.
Can someone tell the guy leading our forwards in PM - that goon Stajan - to reign it in a bit?

From the Jets GDT:
On Gaudreau:
Quote:
Can that kid stop scoring on us
|
On Hartley:
Quote:
Can't bury the Flames in the 1st. Hartley goes into dressing room and says "We can win this boys". Flames come and bust their ass while we forget what defense is. Score a couple of easy ones on Pavs. game over
|
On Hiller:

Just remember, we could have had Hiller in the off season.

I don't really care what the experts say. I really believe that the flames are one big top shutdown defensemen and one experienced bona fide goal scorer away from being a good enough team to make the playoffs. I think the seven and eight spots in the west are much more open than everyone thinks they are. The first six are a lock and No one is touching them but teams like Minnesota Vancouver Nashville and Maybe even Dallas are susceptible.

Healy's schtick has long since run its course. Please, Sportsnet--if you won't release him outright, make him a Leafs regional guy only.

The fact the Flames went 4-2 on the road trip is huge. I would have been happy with .500 hockey and more realistically expected 1 or 2 wins. The team is prone to some bad periods, but the overall body of work has been impressive.
Very excited to see if they can keep up the momentum at home.

Why are we worry or getting ticked off at what the supposedly called hockey expert says about our players? Who the heck cares if Healy does not think Gaudreau deserves the monicker Johnny Hockey? Who cares if the experts keeps calling Karri Ramo a backup? These people can keep saying something negatives about the Calgary Flames all they want. Calgary Flames keeps proving them wrong anyways.

Just finished the game on PVR...
Quoth the Flames, "Two periods, nevermore."
Nice to see Gaudreau finally being Johnny Hockey. That wrap-around was sick. That's the type of game that can convince a guy that he can play in the league, skyrocketing his confidence.

Well I'll tell you what. I'd rather take our best at that than to try and win the McDavid sweeps. Darren Haynes might not be far off when he predicts the Sabres might not win 4 games all year. The bottom 6 or 7 teams will be so bad there's no way to compete with them. So screw it. Shock the world and play some springtime hockey.

They said Berra was our backup, which should absolutely draw scorn from fans. These guys get paid to apparently be less in the know than 90% of this forum. Their opinions I can ignore just fine, but between the backup thing and them saying it was Gaudreau's first NHL goal, it's hard to not be annoyed
