Default Amazing Sidewalk Chalk Artist

Canadian, Guy Wales is the artist. I've never seen anything like this.

That is impressive........I hate it when I wash my rig and it rains shortly thereafter....I can only imagine how he would feel when it rains.....

Actually looks like there are several "chalk guys" out there. Regardless of who drew them, that's some impressive talent.

Cool looking artwork

How dependent on the effect is the viewing angle? Does it look completely wonky if you're not viewing from the right position?

Some of those are the works of Julian Beever. I think he pioneered the artform about 20 years ago. There is a 12 part 30 minutes each TV series about some of his work.

Am I the only one that would like to see it from the perspective the artist intends it to be viewed from but also from the other sides as well?

It is extremely dependent on the viewing angle.

Do a Google image search for, "sidewalk art from different angles"...

They are not meant to be seen from other angles. Beever takes a picture from his camera that sits on a tripod. After he takes the picture he does not care that the chalk is removed. In fact, as he is drawing the picture he is consistently viewing the drawing through the camera lens as a reference point.
