Jooris (upper body) did not skate today. He was injured in last night's game and Hartley doesn't know if he will play tomorrow.

Monahan has had some bad giveaways this year which stand out, but his overall game hasn't been bad and there's some signs of improvement there.
- Faceoffs - he's at 53.3% this year (best on the team), last year he finished at 46% (Backlund has also shown improvement - 50% this year, 47.5% last year)
- Shots - last year he averaged 1.87 shots/game. This year he's up to 2.83 shots/game. A lot of non-CPers people pointed to his unsustainable shooting percentage last year, but most here felt he'd increase his shots enough to maintain his scoring. He hasn't scored yet obviously, but with the increased shot he could lower his shooting percentage to 10.3% and score the same as he did last year. He's starting to be able to drive possession a bit when last year he couldn't do it as much.

Re glencross: so many stupid passes that drive me crazy. But the occasional good one. I'm Still not really excited or disappointed with him overall. Just sort of meh player.

Glencross/Backlund had "recovery days." Jooris suffered an upper body injury Friday. On the chances of him playing: "I wouldn't bet on it"

Backlund was mired on the 4th line for much of the start of last season until an injury to Monahan forced Hartley to give him consistent top 6 time.
Maybe the injuries to Jones and now Jooris will similarly force Hartley to move Gaudreau up the depth chart, away from Colborne. Perhaps to similar beneficial ends.

I think you do (and that's okay) otherwise you wouldn't have felt the need to reply.
