I really hope the BOG makes the very simple change of saying as long as any part of your body is above/behind the plane of the inner edge of the blue line when the puck enters the zone, you're onside. That would get rid of some of the worst delays on these reviews and still be perfectly within the spirit of the offside rule.

I'd still prefer just eliminating the offside reviews altogether, but fixing the wording of the rule would at least fix a lot of the problems with the reviews.

I look at that Oilers broadcast crew and compare it to ours, and all I can think of is how the Oilers embarress themselves with the stupidly unfunny Principe and the crying of Remada on a nightly basis.

They're just overall bad.

The funny thing is that at HF Oilers they fully believe their TV crew is far superior.

McDavid hugs Forsberg from behind skating down the ice and no call. Unbelievable

The player's "onside" skate came off the ice first. At that instant he was fully in the zone regardless of his other skate subsequently coming off the ice.

If you want to argue that the skates came off the ice at the same instant, that might be another story but that's not what I saw happen.

Yeah, the HF Oilers are terrible in all things, if there was a way to lock the door to the HF Oilers board and toss in gas grenades we would be doing the world a favor.

Oilers broadcast keeps complaining about this correct onside call.

Feel like I'm watching the Fox News of hockey.

And of course Remenda laughs at it. If it was reversed he would be whining even more than he already is.

That's embarrassing you're doing a dis-service to Fox News who looks absolutely professional compared to the three musketeers of idiocy.

These clowns are more Breitbart than Fox... maybe even Infowars level...

that said, isn't an EDM win better for us?

Maybe, but I still think the Flames can catch the grease.

Oh god. Not this again.

In case you missed it earlier an Oilers win is never good.

No. The Flames are four points back of the Oilers and have reduced the Oilers' lead by about 7 points since the All-Star break. If the Flames can move into the top 3 in the Pacific, the wild card race doesn't matter.

IDK I think the Oilers are far more likely to implode even though Nashville is closer standings wise

would be perfectly fine with the Preds regulation win

I am still hoping to see the slimy Grease ooze their way down to ninth on the final day of their season. I care not how it affects the standings right now, I just want the Grease to lose.

Forever.

And ever.
