You understand that as a Flames fan you should never "cheer" for the Oilers, right?
The Flames will make the playoffs on their own merit, and they sure as hell don't look like they need any help from that abomination of a franchise.

Oilers have a tough go the next couple weeks. St. Louis, Detroit, NYI, Pittsburgh, Montreal after today. A two game losing streak could spiral real quick with a schedule like that. Go Preds!

But if we want the Kings to also catch them then we want them to lose. The flames control their destiny. Nashville can have this one.

Actually, that doesn't look all that tough. Pittsburgh and St. Louis are good teams, but the other three are average at best.

Terrible, TERRIBLE take. Flames fans being told by other flames fans to cheer for the oilers when they're 4 pts away from them in a season they've embarrassed us 4 times? Nauseating

Was the S/O loss in Edmonton embarrassing? I didn't think so.

Is Gene Principe capable of asking a question that doesn't have anything to do with Connor McDavid?

I wonder when Gene will hit his quota asking opposing teams about McDavid.

Lol, Nanaimo has quite an impressive skyline. Almost looks like Nashville's.

Talbot's playing his 56th game tonight; most of his career, with 19 more games to play.
Would not be surprised if they falter down the stretch because he wears down

I didn't realize people hated the Oilers more than they liked their own team.
Yes, losing to the Oilers 4 times was embarrassing but them winning today helps our chances at making the playoffs.
As much as we are in control of our own fate. These two points tonight could be the difference between us missing or making. The Oilers already are pretty comfortably in a playoff spot while the Preds aren't.
You don't have to cheer for the Oilers but cheering for Nashville is foolish and isn't in the Flames best interest.

There have been only four goaltenders to start in +70 games in the past five seasons:
· Jonas Hiller: 2011–12 — 73 games
· Pekka Rinne: 2011–12 — 72 games
· Braden Holtby: 2014–15 — 72 games
· Jonathan Quick: 2014–15 — 71 games
This does not bode well for Talbot.

Any loss to that tire fire franchise is embarrassing.

We're closer to 2nd in the PAC than 9th.
Be more worried about teams that are ahead.
Though I will add that I actually prefer them being a WC team. As insane as it sounds I like our chances better against the Wild and Sharks than Anaheim or Edmonton. We are a better road team than home also.

Okay technically that's interference but Eberle went down awfully easy.
