Bars I have never tried, but am intrigued by the posts here.
3 musketeers
Big Turk
Crunch
Peppermint Patty
Bueno
Bounty (not 100% sure).
Whittakers

I’m not a huge fan of coconut in a chocolate bar. Which one of these is the best?

Let me help

3 musketeers - Eat a Mars Bar, same same
Big Turk - eat a chocolate covered gelatinous piece of $hit, same same
Crunch - punch yourself in the face, the chocolate on this bar is like wax
Peppermint Patty - Eat an After Eight, same same
Bueno - This is good if you like hazel nut
Bounty (not 100% sure). - ........I can't even..........
Whittakers - never had it

I think you could get those at Safeways or Sports chek.

Pre-COVID when I would host a local trivia night I would start the night off with a warm up question.

The warm up question was always the same:

I have a chocolate bar in my jacket pocket. Tell me what chocolate bar I have and it's yours!

Then I'd call on people as they'd raise their hands and go around the room until someone guessed it.

"Not KitKat" "Nope, still not KitKat" "Believe it or not, it hasn't changed and is, in fact, NOT KitKat"

Also, I'd have people light up with glee when I'd call them so they could guess Big Turk

"It's not Big Turk, it'll never be Big Turk, Big Turk isn't a prize, it's a punishment!"

Hey MQS I hope this is OK but I took the liberty to make a bracket poll for chocolate bars, the polls during COVID were fun so maybe this would be enjoyable again:

https://www.polltab.com/bracket-poll/O6iaSPCvX8TDx

I picked the chocolate bars from a list of top 20 Canadian favourites and put ‘em in a randomizer for fairness. Enjoy everyone!

I vote for a chocolate bar draft.

my go-tos are: Snickers, Twix, Eatmore, Coffee Crisp, Butterfinger.

Worst are: Big Turk (who buys this?), Mars, Bounty, anything with mint.

EDIT: Coffee Crisp v Snickers in the first round?! Brutal.

I love eat mores but are they really a chocolate bar? I excluded them because they’re more toffee than chocolate

If it's on the shelf among the Twix and the Snickers, tis IMO.

I guess candy bar might be a better term.

I'm going to goto Dollarama tonight and buy a big Turk. .87 cents. It sounds like I'm the onlyturkfan.... hahaha

They also have the Twix knock off called the Duet. 2 for $1.00 for the kids. they can't tell the difference yet.

Candy is candy, chocolate is chocolate

They are NOT the same.

Pretty sure 3 Musketeers is just a mars bar with the caramel layer removed, making it far less good.

Halloween size satisfies the craving while being able to stay on track goal wise.

Totally doable with regular size ones too, I just find I only need the tiny ones at this point.

Bounty is under-appreciated. A marvel of its time. The taste of paradise, and a commonwealth staple.

Skor and Crunch are my standards, but if I'm feeling flush with cash, Ritter Sport (gotta say it with the German accent) is my favourite. I like the Milka and Kinder too, but that's mostly just tied to childhood memories.

I also prefer the weird bitter US Hershey vs the sweeter Canadian one.
