Scoring Winger
Backlund should not be killing penalties as he is far too passive. Need more aggressiveness and speed. Maybe call up Grant or Hathaway. Granlund was really good tonight as was Ferland, maybe they could get some PP time as the PP has been a gong show.
How about Granlund Ferland Bennett next game and give them some PP time together.

This entire team blows.
Season is done. Flames getting another first rounder and a top 3 pick will be the only thing to make this palatable.
Oh and the hope that I never have to see hiller, ramo, Wideman or Russel in flames silks ever again.

Gaudreau-Monahan-Laine
Bennett-Granlund-Frolik
is something I'd be excited about next year.

I keep telling myself this is still a rebuilding team. Still doesn't make the losses any easier to take.
Hiller is useless!

Kind of funny that. Considering how much it was talked about before the season.

Nice seeing Granlund and Ferly (and Bennett) score.

Wow. We've got a -31 goal differential now, the next worst is Philly at "only" -20. What a mess...

Granlund was 5-2 in faceoffs too. 13 minutes of icetime, same ballpark as Colborne and Ferland.
Backlund with only 10 minutes.

Ridiculous that Granlund has not been on this team from the start of the season.

@DarrenWHaynes: We're seven-and-a-half weeks into the NHL season and the Flames aren't 30th overall only because the Oilers win tonight came in a shootout.
Well...there's that

I believe in the Pony Power
I'm not cheering for losses during the games, but really, at this point it is for the best. The playoffs are not happening. A run at this point only will give them a lower pick.
Gonna be a long season because we are just past the 1/4 mark and it is over. I don't anticipate veterans to be traded until much closer to the deadline, so we have to contend with weeks of just "meh".

I didn't think Jets and Flames would be competing for a higher draft pick in the summer. Yet here we are. How the hell did it come to this?
