My guess is 5-7. Meaning we will be 3 games below .500 after the April first deadline.

Well it's pretty obvious what's going to happen here.
We go 3-6 before the 2nd Columbus game, then get 3 wins in a row before the deadline, thus eliminating ourselves as sellers.
We then finish 9th in the west.

I'll say 5-6-1. We sit in 13-14th in the west, 8-10 pts out of 8th. Clearly we stay put and push for the playoffs, passing the teams smart enough to identify this as a non-playoff year and finish 10-11. It's becoming a classic hockey tradition, like booing bettman, or holding draft parties in cities of champions.

Ideally though, if we're going to sell, I hope we're making deals before the deadline. I don't want rushed deals diluting player value here. If we're waiting until that very day to make a decision, we've probably already made a mistake.

10-2. We'll re-sign Iggy to a 3 year, 15 million dollar deal. Then we'll crash, miss the playoffs, and everything will be more ####ed up than it once was. Because we're the Flames.

The worst thing that could happen for the Flames here is going something like 6-6, therefore I expect that to happen.
You hope for 12-0, but if that's not a possibility...

I keep looking at that list and I just can't decide what it's going to be. I too am in the camp that thinks they're going to be good enough to handcuff our GM (because he has no memory)

4-5-3 with wins against Dallas, Columbus twice and Edmonton, and OT/shootout losses to St. Louis, Colorado, and Edmonton.
I could see it playing out like this (similar to last year): Flames play mediocre in the first 5-6 games, then don't show up at all in either the St. Louis game or the Chicago game. Due to the poor play by the Flames, Feaster makes some public statement where he tells the media that the Flames will be looking to make some significant moves at the deadline and change is coming to the organization. Then, in all four of the games leading up to the deadline, the Flames pick up 6 of 8 points, playing just well enough to make Feaster think the Flames have a newfound chemistry in the locker room and on the ice. Trade deadline comes and goes, nothing significant in terms of trades (maybe one or two minor league or minor roll players). Flames go on to finish 10-14th in the league.
