Certainly not a Rembrandt tonight, but it's two points in the standings.

Me either that's messed up. Gut check win but should have been a rout.

I think if Michel did not drop that first ball, it would've been a rout

I am happy for the win especially against a Western Division rival BUT that was not the same Stampeders that we know. I thought the defense played well take away some of the undisciplined penalties (2 by Jameer Thurman). Secondaries did not give up a lot tonight and man that Tommie Campbell is such an awesome DB. The DLine was pretty good overall and so as Alex Singleton. Thurman actually played well just need to be discipline next games. With Deron Mayo getting closer to be back, he will have to outplay Maleki Harris(injured right now) to stay in the lineup. So far he's making it difficult for the coaching staff to take him out of the active roster.

Offense especially Bo Levi Mitchell was not sharp in the first half. R Marken Mitchel had a combination of good and bad game. He made some great catches but he also dropped some passes then left the game early in the 4th quarter. This kid is fast but sometimes he need to slow down a bit to be a good receiver. I am sure he'll learn as the season goes. I have to say Jerome Messam was probably our best offensive player tonight.

Special team were good tonight especially to coverage. Rainey didn't really get a long a decent return tonight. The best tackle by special team was actually Rob Maver tackling Chris Rainey on BC's last return. If he didn't tackle and stopped Rainey, BC would have won the game because Rainey would have scored a TD.

Stamps 21 Lions 17. Sloppy win but very important 2 points.

Well that was an awful game to watch live, but a win is a win. Man, BC Place really is 100x the venue McMahon is.

#1 thing they teach receivers, catch the ball with your hands not your chest. Parker caught it but he still doesnt get it. He got up high only to trap it against his chest, if BC DB had been a yard closer he would've knocked it down.

He's made some nice plays but man is he ever inconsistent and sometimes a bad route runner. Dropping balls, making nice catches, bad routes; he better figure it out or someone will be lining up in his place soon.

OL misfired again - no sacks but BC got pressure and got a nasty horse collar on Bo, besides couple of runs not much for Messam either.

Messam could be out, Terry Williams should get a good look if thats the case. He's a dual threat.

If Bo is hurt, lets sit him and see if Buckley can actually do it from the start. Playoffs are a guarantee so these wins/losses wont mater much if Bo cant go come playoffs.

Messy game, glad to get the win but they need to get their heads on straight.

I suspect that Bo did have a minor shoulder injury and it happened on the horse collar. But he was playing with a patch worn receiving core tonight, so I expected some struggles. But at the end of the day, he put up enough points to get the win.

The Defense was actually outstanding, especially when your playing with a scrambling QB like Jennings, at that point you basically take Singleton out of the normal game plan and spy him, once they did that Jennings went back to being one dimensional.

Overall, BC, Calgary and Edmonton are the elite teams in the CFL with Winnipeg maybe joining that group. Calgary has beaten BC and Winnipeg so far this season, that's what elite teams do.

I'm more worried if Messam is out for a significant period of time, the offense is going to have to change if Finch is at running back.

If Bo is banged up at all, I would prefer to see Buckley at QB and put Terry Williams at 3 back, he's got real potential.

Agree with CC, I enjoyed watching the Calgary defence go to work last night. Where was Hughes? I tuned in late.

TSN did a great job isolating the 'game within a game' between Messam and Elimimian - that was great TV.

Hard to believe as a CFL starting QB that BLM had not run the ball over scrimmage once this season until last night.

Seems to me that he is all about highlight reel, either he is making catches he has no business of making (highlight reel catch)or dropping balls he should absolutely catch(highlight reel drops). His inconsistency is frustrating to watch.

I can't seem to find anything on Hughes either. Late scratch due to injury?

While our defense kept the Lions to 17, i felt our dline really suffered without Hughes. Jamming seemed to have a fair amount of time back there.

Hughes was in the game. He was the one who picked up the ball on the blocked punt.

That's right! He must have been hurt on that play because he didn't play again.

Did I see it right? I was just walking back into the room when I heard it so I didn't see it that well but did he try to lateral the friggin ball or did he just drop it?

Hmm, that seems a little ambitious, especially when the whole opposing team is right on you.
