I don't get this call... kicking a field goal with 16 seconds left in the game down by 10 points with less than 10 or 20 yards on the goal line. Am I missing something here??

Yay!! No more undefeated team in the CFL. No comeback Reilly magic tonight.

What a win. This team is really coming together. Just get rid of Carmichael.

Miss the third down and you lose by 10.

Kick the field goal, down by 7.

Recover the short kick, scored TD and you're down by one... Convert or go for the win with a 2 point conversion.

With 16 seconds left?? They could have kick the FG a lot earlier. I get what you are saying but kicking the FG they are down by 7. Onside kick and recover the ball with maybe 10-14 seconds left on the middle of the field gives them maybe a couple of plays to the end zone. I know Reilly been good with the comeback this season but the way the Bombers defense are playing it might be tough to get an easy TD. If the clock is still over a minute or so, I wouldn't question the decision. Yes no lead is safe in the CFL but I just don't get it. I would think TD first then onside kick and recover the football. Much easier to put the ball on FG range after recovering the onside kick than going for a TD to end the game.

Agreed that they should have kicked it earlier. But I also think you go for the TD first and if it gets to third down, you kick the FG and hope to recover the short kick. The right call in my opinion.

Best chance for the TD was to go for it on 3rd. If you then recover the on-side kick, you are only one play out of FG range.

But u only get one play to get that TD. If you're unsuccessful not only do you take points off the board, but you turn the ball over and the games done. Best chance to tie (or win) was the way it played out. And I hate saying that because I'm not a huge fan of Maas.

Where was the ball exactly? Around the 15 yard line?

In that scenario the TD was the best option.

If they were at the 35, then kicking the FG on 3rd down makes sense.

Losing by 3 or 7 or 10 doesn't matter if you still lose. What matters is improving your odds to tie. If you are already in striking distance of the endzone, you go for the TD. If you are far enough out that your odds after an onside kick are about the same (I'd put that limit at about the 25 yd line) then kick the FG.

Time was a huge factor too. If there was 45 seconds left, maybe kick the FG. But with 16s left? No way you are going to be in a better position with that little time left. They almost had to go for the TD because the little bit of time meant all they'd be able to do if they recovered the onside was get in FG range.

Agree to disagree I guess.

With only a few exceptions, I'm a firm believer in never taking points off the board.

Field goal. Short kick. 2 plays. I think those are the better odds myself.

Brutal drop on second down by Banks

Stupid penalty on third down by Washington.

That sums up their season.

He hasn't been the same since that meltdown on the sidelines in the 2014 Grey Cup after his punt return TD was called back on a Taylor Reed block in the back.

The problem is Hamilton is playing basketball on a football field - Nice dribbling by Collaros.

lol - Tiger-Cats block the extra point and run it back for two points. Give up six and score two is not a winning formula, however.

Nice drive put together by Masoli to get the Tiger-Cats a little closer.

They might have traded for his replacement today (Ricky Collins).

Nice to see former Dino Jake Harty score his first career CFL TD.

Hamilton is now officially the worst team in the CFL. Not sure why Kent Austin still got the head coaching job after tonight. Not sure I can blame Collaros a 100% for the sicky offense, Ticats needs to get some offensive linemen who can protect the QB at all times. Not sure what the heck is wrong with this team.
