I haven't been around to see this kid play at all due to other reasons, but I have heard from my family that he ALWAYS gets under people's skins and is an all around great 2-way player. Seems like the perfect 2nd LW behind Gaudreau. Will he be paired up with Bennett this year? Would love to see if Tkachuk could get some chemistry going with Bennett and have Backlund and Frolik help out Janko as a LW for a little bit or something.
Came across this on youtube. Some of the stuff AC likely would have loved to keep in his highlights, but respectably kept it to hockey plays. He certainly crossed the line a few times. That elbow on Doughty was vicious (but Doughty's sewer on that hit in the next game is also gross). He will figure it out, and much quicker than most. We've all been itching for that s***head who can play and I'm glad he's a home grown player.

Just heard on the Fan 960 that in the WHL they have been calling a number of game misconduct penalties (10 minutes) in the preseason (they also intend to continue this focus in the regular season) for not wearing a mouthgaurd properly, or for chewing on it. I wonder if a season of Tkachuk in the public eye has spurred this on?
It was an interview with Mike Moore, VP of the Hitmen.

Is there a mandatory rule for wearing them in the NHL? If not, than this doesn't really matter. If these kids want to lose their teeth shouldn't that be up to them?

I am just curious about the timing. Tkachuk, while not the first to do it, has been the most notorious for it.

Anyone have a gif of him getting 5 on 1 teamed in the crease then Bennett comes in with the headlock bulldog to the ice?
