I had a blast at a the WM when I was there, but I do wonder if it’s gotten a little out of hand at this point? It sure seems like it, but it’s hard to know when you’re just seeing the “highlights” on social media.

Two of posts were from previous years. I think all the delays contributed to the mayhem this year. Did they let round 2 and 3 pass holders in on Saturday and is that why they had to close the gates?

15-18 is sure a fun finishing stretch regardless of the craziness. It's a pretty solid venue just for the golf alone.

4 wins by Nick Taylor is kind of crazy. Puts him only behind Weir and Knudson for Canadian wins.

Frat bros seem to have escalated things to new lows this year. They'll have to find a way to maintain a fun atmosphere without it going over that tipping point.

One of those posts is 7 years old so they may not be an accurate way to judge. But the players complained a lot more this year.

Yeah and I wasn't just talking about those posts, but like I say maybe it's not escalating and the coverage is more thorough? It's hard to say. I think they had about 30 people who were blacked out and obviously had to stop selling booze for the first time, which seems like things are getting worse?

And the delays and other issues could be a piece of the issue for sure.

I was there this year. general admission on Friday. Suite on 16 on Saturday. Didn’t see any mayhem, only on social media.

So Tiger has to withdraw due to illness, and man he looked sick, then this happens.

Jordan Spieth was disqualified after the second round of the Genesis Invitational on Friday for signing an incorrect scorecard.

Spieth, a three-time major winner, signed for a par on the 245-yard par-3 4th hole at Riviera Country Club, but he made a bogey after missing a 5-foot putt.

Spieth acknowledged the error later Friday in a post on X.

"Today, I signed for an incorrect scorecard and stepped out of the scoring area, after thinking I went through all procedures to make sure it was correct," wrote Spieth, who won an NCAA title with Texas at Riviera. "Rules are rules, and I take full responsibility. I love this tournament and golf course as much as any on @PGATOUR so it hurts to not have a run at the weekend. Really appreciated the support in LA."

Mack Hughes tied for 2nd but 5 shots back of Cantlay.

With Mike Weir captaining the Presidents Cup in Montreal this year, this could be a huge year for Canadian Men's golf.

Taylor looks like a lock with his win last week. How many of Connor/Hadwin/Svensson/Hughes get in? One for sure you'd think, but they can play their way into getting 3 or 4 Canadians which would make for a lot of fun.

The PGA Tour announced the son of 15-time major champ Tiger Woods will compete in Thursday's pre-qualifier for the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. The pre-qualifier will take place at Lost Lake Golf Club in Hobe Sound, near where Woods lives in Jupiter.

The younger Woods is playing in one of four pre-qualifiers for the event. Approximately 25 players and ties will advance to the full Monday qualifying event. There, four spots will be available into the PGA Tour event that runs Feb. 29-March 3 at PGA National's Champion Course in Palm Beach Gardens.

With a son playing competitive golf around the same age, we're pretty plugged into junior golf. The media has no clue how competitive junior golf his. Charlie is pretty good, but nowhere near the hype for now. His ranking and stats would project him to be headed to a mid tier D1 college. That's really good, but far from someone trending to go pro.

There is another kid in Florida, also a 2027 grad, Miles Russell, who is doing all sorts of crazy Tiger like things right now, and could really be the next phenom. He played in this pre-q as well at a different site today and shot -2 and was just 3 strokes off qualifying.

Also today, Tiger got him into an AJGA Open in NC with a sponsors exemption. AJGA is the top junior tour, and is supposed to be merit based, so it's mildly annoying to see a couple of my kid's friends as alternates in that tournament when they've earned far better status on that tour.

Up until now, he's been playing age and ability appropriate junior tournament s and has done moderately well. It seems Tiger is setting Charlie up for a lot of scrutiny and criticism by putting him in the pga qualifier, and jumping the queue into AJGA events.
