Seattle winning because the opponents call a pass from the 1yrd line and their kicker ####s his pants.
ironic.

Russell Wilson ended up with 60 net pass yards due to sacks, the Seahawks had one skill player have over 40 yards of offense, and they still won by two scores. Cowboys defense not exactly sending Christmas cards to Dak and Dan Bailey.

So Jags locked in at 3 spot. Do they lay an egg and rest their starters or do they want to play hard and at least go into playoffs with momentum? If they lose and Titans and Ravens win then we get Jags round 1. If Titans win and Ravens lose then we get Chiefs.

Would like to see the Ravens and Jags win, to allow the Chargers and Rivers to get in. Given they lost 3 of first 4 by less than 3 points each, and Rivers is just one of those good guys, and, had a soft spot for the Chargers since beating Pitt in the AFCCG in the mid 90s.
I don’t think the Jags are as good as they think they are. Good for them considering where they’ve been though Lucky to hang on vs Seattle in the end and Jimmy G split them open for his 4th straight for SF today.

Wow.
Quote:
In an odd postgame exchange, Seattle Seahawks free safety Earl Thomas approached Jason Garrett and urged the Dallas Cowboys coach to acquire him if he were ever to become available.
"We had a great win. I feel like we played lights-out. Just emotional," Thomas said. "I went to the locker room to talk to [Dez] Bryant, and I saw Coach Garrett. I've always been a Cowboys fan growing up. But the biggest thing when I say 'Come get me' is, I don't literally mean like, 'Come get me now.' I'm still in the prime of my career. I still want to be here, but when Seattle kicks me to the curb, please -- the Cowboys -- come get me. That's the only place I would rather be if I get kicked to the curb. So that's what I meant by it. People take life too serious. That's just who I am."

Two things:
1. Jerry is without question the only owner in sports who voluntarily has (seeks out?) a postgame press gaggle.
2. The Seahawks won yesterday with more penalty yards than offensive yards, the first time in 51 years a team has done that. That normally should result in instant termination, but more likely will result in a contract extension here. Jerry loves puppet coaches almost as much as he loves hookers.

no sunday night game next week either as the NFL has decided that it would be unfair to have a team know it's destiny sunday night.
all games with playoff implications will be played at 2:25. 7 early games and 9 late games.

No way they want the Titans in the playoffs, they’ll want to send a division rival packing

Does anyone know what happened with the on side kick at the Titans Rams game? Titans kicked it when Rams weren't ready and recovered it. Refs threw a flag then picked up the flag and said Rams called time out. Rams said they didn't call time out so instead of Titans ball they re kicked it. Refs are horrible.

Mike Hilton has been a revelation as slot cornerback this year. Those blitzes are awesome.
The Texans have -13 passing yards through two and a half quarters.

Of course he is....

Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison is visiting the New England Patriots on Tuesday, a source told ESPN's Field Yates.
Harrison cleared waivers on Monday to become a free agent. The Steelers released Harrison, the franchise's all-time sacks leader, on Saturday to make room for right tackle Marcus Gilbert, who is returning from suspension.

aaaaand he's a Patriot lol. Oh well. Can't say the Steelers defense have missed him too much this season, they've logged 50 sacks already and Watt has exceeded all expectations as a complete outside linebacker who can do well in coverage. Still I didn't want to see him sign for the Patriots ... no idea what happened in Pittsburgh, I suspect there has been a bit of bad blood between him and the Steelers.

Anyone else excited for the Lynch - Mahomes bowl this weekend? No? Not even their parents are? That’s a shame.
I’m hoping for Denver to fail miserably and make Mahomes look amazing so KC let’s Smith go for cheaper. The odds that him or Keenum are the Bronco QB next year are far higher than Cousins.
