That doesn't even look real.
Stupid question time... those dust clouds forming the pillars of creation above, are those "dust clouds" just billions of stars forming those?

Yup.
The JWST observes in infrared wavelengths, so any pictures you see will be "False colour". But they're still pretty awesome.

Uranus and neptune (and jupiter!) have small rings. Not anywhere near Saturn and quite hard to visualize (unless you're a giant space telescope shooting in IR, apparently.)

That's messed up. Now it makes me wonder if there are other things I don't know about space.

I mean if you're not making infantile Uranus jokes, you may as well pack your bags and head to the nursing home gramps.

Probably not on the scale of the large planets but scientists believe the Earth did have a ring system in the past before the moon formed.
And if we're not careful we'll have them again someday in the form of space junk and satellites!

Webbs new image of Cassiopeia A.
(Cas A) is a supernova remnant located about 11,000 light-years from Earth in the constellation Cassiopeia. It spans approximately 10 light-years. It's estimated that light from the supernova itself first reached earth between 330-390 years ago and would have be seen with the naked eye for months.

Just to follow up on this, I was watching a podcast on science daily and they picked this image apart, as expected this is now a star forming region that millions of years from now will likely spawn many solar systems, hydrogen is green, oxygen is blue, sulfur is red and organic carbon can be black, brown or teal.
Amazing stuff
