Oh yeah he's been fantastic in all his World Cup and euro games for ROI ... Oh wait
That is a very poor England side. They will top the group but won't do anything at euro 2016. Pretty sad how bad they are considering they have one of the best domestic leagues in the world. They have to enforce a home grown player rule

Austria dominating Sweden, but wasting tons of golden opportunities. Just put it in the net already, for gods sakes ...

They do have a home grown rule. They could increase it, and get a few more average players some more minutes at the highest level, but the real issue is the development right from the youth ranks. They need to produce more high-end players, and I don't think altering the home grown rule will have any effect on that.

Or Rooney, or he could have shot it. Or basically anything other than what he did.
Phil Jones is such an awkward player. He camouflages everything by just falling over or falling into people. He is just always falling.
Got a great opportunity with the header though.

Welbeck, thank god he's gone. Sterling has an easy in if he can make a 10 foot pass.
Jones & Cahill. We're doomed.

If Jones is off for his hamstring he is an idiot considering he was holding it a good 10-15 minutes ago,

Welbeck made a great defensive play on Rooney's attempt to score there.

I like Milner on, when we're defending.

That's a huge win for England. The group is very winnable for them now.

I don't think it's that people don't like Welbeck, more so that they don't like him starting as a winger. His two goals came from him making runs centrally. When he was out wide he didn't do anything all game.

He should've had 3. Decent finishing on his second, but Lambert, Sterling, Sturridge & Rooney all finish that as well.
He also cost Rooney a decent chance, with selfishness.

most people were bashing him after he had a simple pass for a goal and messed it up
people would bash Messi if he missed that, it was the equivalent of a tap in

Yeah, no decent striker in the history of soccer has ever missed a tap-in. Also, they all would have scored the second Welbeck goal. Every time.
