The return is palatable. Definetly not a steal like the Hamilton trade but we didn't get takes to the cleaners so that's nice. I have a feeling we aren't going to be drafting very much in the coming years with treliving in win now mode.

Bad last year... been better in the past.

He was also started in the defensive end constantly last year. Likely different this year as Gio will take that spot.

Ouch. Seems to pricey. That's what we got for a top 2 defenceman a few years back. Hamonic is decent but he's not a first rounder and 2 seconds better than Stone. I guess time will tell but my initial gut reaction is pretty huge over payment.

Never happy giving away firsts and seconds but the Flames are working towards a window to compete and want to make sure to stay ahead of the lottery balls so I get it. A solid top 4 is essential.

Hamonic is a 3-4 guy but no more.

Our D is definitely better today but the price in futures was really high.

I don't like the cost either but we traded picks, not our currently developing prospects. Rather than emptying the cupboard, we're losing out on some opportunities to continue stocking it. Still a decent flow to look forward to.
